Centre has taken weeks of planning and execution. The big contract of the Job was -handled by the Pacific Mill' and' Fixture Company, headed the partnership of O. E. Long and Albert Weikert. The project was started on January 15, -when Long and Weikert started the planning of the new structure.

Six weeks were put in on the preparation of plans and specifications. Then began the long job of clearing out all of the interior of the old market to make way for the new. Long himself designed all of the fixtures, which embody the latest ideas in design and material. Ht was assisted by J. H.

McLafferty, draftsman, while Weikert superin- tended installation of the. fixtures. The project used 105 laborers for a period of six weeks, with, payroll of $6000. From then the market will operate' daily from 9 a.m. to 12 midnight. It will be such an opening as this city has not seen in years. All of the color of a Hollywood premiere will be centered there.
