The seventh district congressional campaign in Alameda County is also under way with Charles Wade Snook, Republican nominee, receiving the help of Republican group members of the Coordinating Council headed by Leroy R. Goodrich. Precinct workers in support of Snook have volunteered during the past week, and large numbers are expected to be brought into the campaign this week. Democratic leaders in various parts of the State are still trying to unscramble the plan by which the Bourbon campaign is to be conducted this Fall. CONFLICTING REPORTS Conflicting stories have come out of the South where John Gee Clark, State chairman, conferences with party leaders to impose the will of Culbert L.

Olson and Ellis Patterson, party, nominees on the State ticket, reorganization program. First came the announcement in Sacramento when State Central Committee was organized, that the campaign will be conducted by congressional district leaders supervised by Clark. And in conformity with that plan, Thomas McDonough and Laura O'Donohoe were named to head the drive in the sixth district while dA Assemblyman Henry Dannenbrink and Anga Bjornson were conduct the campaign in the seventh. Then came the announcement that Clifton Hildebrand and Robert McWilliams were to take charge in the sixth and seventh district. BOURQUIN IN NORTH Last reports have it that M.

Mitchell Bourquin has been appointed campaign manager for Northern California and will act as chairman of a committee of eight State Central Committee vice-chairmen who will divide the Northern territory under his direction. Besides Borquin, the committee comprises Mrs. Margate Robinson of Fresno, Mrs. George Knox and James McSheehy of San Francisco, Clifton and Edward Patterson Hildebrand, Mrs. Grace McDonald of San Jose and Mrs.

McWilliams of San Francisco. Under the last arrangement, if it holds together over the week-end, Borquin will have complete charge in the North and will be responsible only to Clark and Olson, whose campaign he managed in the primaries. Borquin's leadership sented ins some quarters, it is reported, on the ground that he will over -emphasize the Olson-Patterson and leave Sheridan Downey to conduct his U.S. Senate campaign with the help of the $30 every Thursday pension group. $7200 FROM PETE The Olson group was given a blow yesterday when it discovered that a secret contribution of $7200 to the primary campaign fund for Olson had been received from Peter McDonough, San Francisco bail bond broker, in substantiation of charges made by Justus Craemer, retiring chairman of the Republican State Central committee of the Republican State convention in Sacramento Olson, enroute to Washington to confer with President Roosevelt, said he learned of the donation after an investigation occasioned by Craemer's charge that McDonough had contributed at least $5000.

In a letter to E. W. Wilson, treasurer of his campaign in Northern California, Olson said he had checked the story of the McDonough gift, had borrowed $7200, and instructed Wilson to return the money to McDonough.
