Elizabeth White Dies; Ex-Phone Employe Mrs. Elizabeth F. White, former supervisor of the Rochester Telephone 1960). She retired in 1951. Mrs.

White started as an operator for the New York Telephone Co. here in 1911 and five years later was appointed supervisor of the employment and training department. She continued in that capacity after the company was merged with the RTC. As supervisor, Mrs. White hired and trained 200 to 400 operators a year.

The New York Telephone Co. and the Rocheser Telephone Corp. became separate companies in the early 1940s. Mrs. White's husband, Willard C.

White, died Sept. 30, 1958. Surviving Mrs. White are a sister, Mrs. Louise Lutz, and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hedges Memorial Chapel, 271 University Ave. Burial will be in White Haven Memorial Park. Louis Gastel, 65; Tailor, Veteran Louis Gastel, 65, of 50 Huntington Park, a tailor in clothing industries here many years, died Sunday (Nov. 13, 1960).

He was born in Poland and came here in 1912. In World War he served overseas several months with Company 346th Infantry Regiment. He was a member of Kaufman Post, Jewish War Veterans; and Congregation Anshe Polen. Mr. Gastel leaves his widow, Sarah; a daughter, Ruth Gastel of Washington; two sons, Ben and Bernard Gastel; two sisters, Mrs.

Dora Salkowitz and Mrs. Goldie Simon; two brothers, Samuel and Joseph Gastel; and a grandson. The service was held Monday in the Parsky Funeral Home, 1125 St. Paul St. Burial was in Britton Road Cemetery.

Anthony Vicari, 75; Ex-Store Operator Anthony P. Vicari, 75, of 880 Clifford former Fred W. Minges Rites Tomorrow; Once City Aide Last rites for Fred W. Minges, of 130 Field retired city junior engineer, will be held at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow in Mattle Funeral Home, 853 Culver Road, and at 9 in Blessed Sacrament Church.

Mr. Minges, who retired in 1952 after 33 years in the engineering division, died Tuesday (Nov. 15, 1960). For more than 35 years, he played clarinet in the 54th Regiment Band here. He also played piano with the old Odenbach Orchestra at Hotel Seneca and in other musical groups.

Mr. Minges also was a former member of the Rochester Park Band and the New York National Guard's 3rd Regiment Band. He was a life member of the Rochester Musicians Association and a member of' the American Military Engineers, the Old Guard of Rochester and the Rochester Monroe County Civil Service Employes Association. Mr. Minges leaves his wife, Ann Ball Minges, and several nieces.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Ethel Fricke, 66; Once City Resident Mrs. Ethel Fricke, 66, formally, of yesterday Charlotte, (Nov. died 16, 1960) at her home in Mt. Vernon, Ala.

She and her husband, Walter, moved to Alabama about seven years ago. He was a boilermaker here for many years. East Organizes Booster Club The word 1 around East High is "Booster." Not polio boosters, but a new club that has been formed to promote school spirit at football games and help cheer the Orientals on to victory. At the games the members can be distinguished by their hats in the E.H.S. colors, purple and white.

According to head cheerleader, Pat VanAs, the boosters hope to operate flash cards at future games. ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT AND CHRONICLE Thursday, Nov. 17, 1960 37 Raymond Gordinier Mass Slated for Tomorrow 79, of 1115 Genesee Park employment and training for died yesterday (Nov. 16, cerator of a novelty and cigar store at 177 East died of a heart ailment Tuesday (Nov. 15, 1960) in Strong Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Vicari opened the store in 1927 and sold it two years ago. Before 1927, 1 he worked for the Rochester Button Co. Mr. Vicari, a native of Santo Stefano, Sicily, came here when he was 16.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Mrs. Sam Licata, Mrs. James Furfferi and Mrs. Leonard Koch; a sister, Mrs. Frances Lioacono; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Redeemer Church after an 8:30 prayer service in the John C. Morcan Funeral Home, 645 Hudson Ave. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Mary Suiter, 73; Member of OES Mrs.

Mary Suiter, 73, of 1042 State Road, Webster, the wife of William A. Suiter, head of William A. Suiter Sons, industrial insulation contractors, died of heart disease Tuesday (Nov. 15, 1960) in her home. Mrs.

Suiter was a native of East Syracuse. She was a member of He ster Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Her daughter, Miss Em Suiter, operates The Style Shop in Webster. Also surviving are four sons, Augustus of Rochester, James F. and Bernard E.

of Webster and William A. Jr. of Hilton; six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Flint of East Syracuse. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m.

tomorrow in the Tinklepaugh Funeral Home, 12 South Webster. Burial wilt be in White Haven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Associaoption, 973 East Ave. Requiem Mass for RayGordinier, 68. of 72 Linnett a former professional baseball pitcher and friend of Babe Ruth, will be offered at 9:15 a.m.

tomorrow in Holy Rosary Church. Mr. Gordinier, who ended his professional career in 1927 with Toronto, died Tuesday (Nov. 15, 1960). He was born here.

About 1915, he was signed to a Philadelphia Athletics contract by Connie Mack and farmed out to Newport News, Va. With the Buffalo Bisons later, he won seven and lost three in his first season and subsequently compiled a shutout record. Mr. Gordinier was called up by the Brooklyn Dodgers in the mid-1920s but saw action in only one or two games. Returning here, he pitched for the old Rochester Tribe under George Stallings.

After leaving professional ball, Mr. Gordinier continued as a semi-pro for teams in the Rochester area. Before breaking into organized baseball, Mr. Gordinier in 1910 played halfback on the old Scalpers semi-professional football team here. At one time he operated a milk business.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Schuth: two sons, Arthur of Rochester and Robert Gordinier of Des Moines, three grandchildren and a brother, William Gordinier. The prayer service will be at the Miller Brothers Funeral Home, 474 Lyell at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
