Tom and Jane Bandy Royce and Delores Patton Parks of Ellsworth celebrate 50th anniversary Bandys of Colby observe 50th anniversary event Leonard and Betty Parks of Ellsworth are to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a 2 to 4 p.m. open house Saturday, "Aug. 15, at the Best Western Mo- meeting room at Ellsworth. All friends and relatives are invited.

The couple request no gifts. Hosts for the occasion are their -children and their children's spouses: Gary and Pam Parks of Pueblo, and Greg and Terri Parks of Hoisington. There are five grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, two great- grandchildren and two stepgreat- grandchildren. Leonard Parks and the former Betty Johnson were united in marriage Oct. 31,1948, at Utica.

He was a schoolteacher for 40 years at Jamestown, Clyde and Ellsworth. She worked 20 years at a doctor's office and eight years as an apartment director, both in Ellsworth. They are retired. The Rev. Tom and Jane Bandy are to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a 2 to 5 p.m.

There are eight grandchildren. Tom Bandy and the former Jane Gates were united in marriage Aug. 14,1948, at Amarillo, Texas. He was a pastor for United Methodist Churches in Kansas, Colorado and Texas. She was a teacher.

They both are retired. The couple is planning an October family celebration at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Their children and their children's spouses are: Rick and Becky Patton of Wayzata, and Ronda and Steve Elliott of Overland Park. There are four grandchildren. Royce Patton and the former Delores Mueller were united in marriage in 1948 at Weatherford, Okla. They have lived in Salina and Goodland most of their married lives. He is a realtor.

She is a homemaker. Helen and Ray Ellis Ellises of Norton plan 65th anniversary event Ray and Helen Ellis of Norton are to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a 2 to 4 p.m. open house Sunday, Aug. 16, at the First Methodist Church in Norton. All friends and relatives are invited.

The couple request no gifts. They have a daughter, MarciA Ellis of Miami, Fla. A son, Robert Ellis, is deceased. There are five grandchildren' and four great-grandchildren. Ray Ellis and the former Helen Crank were united in marriage July 29, 1933, at Oberlin.

Former Salinans Eldred and Elsie Rothfuss of Kansas City, are to observe their 60th wedding anniversary Friday, Aug. 14. They have a daughter, Joy Diehl, of Kansas City, Mo. There are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Eldred Rothfuss and the former Elsie Langshaw exchanged wedding vows in 1938 at Salina.

They owned and operated The Flamingo Motel in Salina from 1960 to 1980, and operated three grocery stores in Kansas City, Mo. They are retired. Eugene and Lola Ahlquist of Tescott are to observe their 60th wedding anniversary with a 2 to 4 p.m. open house Sunday, Aug. 16, in the fellowship hall of St.

Paul's Lutheran Church, Tescott. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts. Their children and their children's spouses are: Allen and Betty Ahlquist, Janice and Larry Tromble, and Frank and Linda Card shower to fete Clarence Rosebrook Wednesday, Aug. 12, is the 90th birthday of Lincoln resident Clarence Rosebrook.

All friends and relatives are invited to mark the occasion by sending cards to his home at RR1, Box 168, Lincoln, KS 67455. His daughters and their husbands are: Mary Ann and Harold Morton, Hammond, Betty and Don Little, Beverly; and Peggy Robertson, Buhler. There are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Born in 1908, the honoree married Sylva in October 1935. He is a retired farmer in Lincoln County.

Ahlquist, all of Tescott; Charles and Barbara Ahlquist, Salina; Rose and Keith Roush, Wilson; Charlotte and Bob Boyle, Ada, Joyce Morgan, Colorado; Alma Wilson, Nebraska; and Mark Vaughn, North Carolina. There are 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Eugene Ahlquist and the former Lola Shay were united in marriage Aug. 13,1938. They have farmed near Tescott all of their married lives.
