Tract Sales of building sites, and the start of construction on new homes in Moraga Estates and Moraga Woodlands, are reported by the office of Fred T. Wood Inc., developers of those properties, in numbers that are well ahead of seasonal averages. Newcomers reported among lot purchasers include Walter Ives Christie, Dr. James Roher, Ora Ellis, Henry F. Graef and Don G. Yeager. Brower has been named executive vice-president and director of the Morris Plan Company of Oakland, according to an announcement by Owen C. Carr, president of the institution. 4 Brower, who resigned as vice-president of the, Morris Plan Bank of Virginia, came here directly from Roanoke, Va where he was in charge of the Roanoke branch of the bank. Before joining the Morris Plan institution seven years ago, Brower had been Identified with the WBchovia Bank and Trust Company and the Merchants Bank and Trust Company, both of Winston-Salem, C. He was treasurer of the latter institution. He also was with Ernst & Ernst, nationally known firm of certified public accountants, for period of three years. "Growth of the Oakland Morris Plan and the expansion of its serv ices and facilities have created a definite need for additional execu tfve direction," Carr said.
