Getting dizzy? South was the declarer at six no-trump and took the first five tricks. He lost the sixth trick to East with a oiamona nnesse. lhe remam'ng seven cards in each hand are shown here NORTH 4 4 A 5 EAST None 7 ft 4 WEST 10 one 10 9 one SOl'TIl .1 A 9 1 8 Enst Is now in the lead. What will he return? Will it be his heart queen? Or one of his small hearts? Will it be diamond queen? Or one of his small diamonds? Try each in turn. Suppose ha sends forth heart queen.

South king wins. North takes a trick with heart jack North cashes diamond ace. South enters with a club to king and then leads the final top heart from there. Instead should East lead heart small? North wins with jack of hearts. South takes two more hearts on which North sluffs a dia mond.

North diamond ace wins and South club king takes a trick. Five tricks after either heart lead from East leaves West only two cards. If they are a club and a spade. North gets two spades. If two spades are in West, South gets a club and North spade king.

The only alternative would be for East to return a diamond. li will not alter tha result, however. Either diamond from East will give North two diamond tricks that declarer takes advantage of. On the second diamond. South sluffs the jack of spades.

On these two diamonds. West must Bluff. He dare not shed a club or spade. His sluff of two hearts permits East to be finessed in hearts. This kind of playing sounds like story book stuff.

Or as if it had a rehearsal. But it was done in a regular bridge game that was dealt at random when the opponent cards were not seen. There are people like that in the world. Rochester Ruprettntativa GACER SALES CORPORATION TVvraOT WHEC 9:30 p.m. RASH ON HANDS AGES' DISAPPEARED IN 7 DAYS! For red.
