1 1 00 000 ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT AND CHRONICLE. THURSDAY, APRIL 59, 1909. 3 COMPANY DOWN TO $50,000 Price Now Set on Mount Morris Water Plant. OFFICIALS OFF TO SCRANTON Private Corporation Drops Asked, $10,000, but the Village Fathers Think System Can Be Bought at to See Mount Morris, April the Mills Water Company stated that $80,000, the price at which it offered to sell local water system two weeks, was the lowest figure that would be of fered, word was received last night that the officials had reconsidered the matter and had reduced the price CO $50,000. As 8 consequence, the village officers and Attorney John F.

Connor are in Scranton to-day in conference with the officers of the water company. The plant is bonded for $40,000 and St: is believed that it can be purchased for this sum. Unless some agreement is reached in the matter at once the Jage will proceed to install a new system, as the existing franchise expires in August. PRESENT OF MANSE TO MOUNT MORRIS CHURCH Mount Morris, April was made to-day of the gift by Mrs. Mary D.

Coy to the First Presbyterian Church of this village of her large residence, on Grove street, for use by the church as home for the minister in charge. Previously the church has leased a house for the purpose, but ing the last few years the scarcity dur: houses had created quite a problem for the church officials, and the gift of this valuable property is opportune. TRAIN SERVICE MAY BE RESTORED BY RAILROAD Would Remove Complaints Made by Mount Morris Farmers. Mount Morris, April are being made by the Pennsylvania Railroad officials to restore the train service recently taken from the Rochester-Olean division. Under the new plan it is proposed to have a train leave Olean about 4 o'clock each morning, which, arriving at Mount Morris at 6:30 o'clock, will pick up the milk formerly handled by the Nunda accommodation, arriving in Rochester at 8 o'clock On the return trip the train may not carry passengers, if a plans now being considered are carried out, but will have a ear for returning the empty milk cans and will have a train of fast through freight for distant points, and will alrive in Olean to connect with the fust train of similar class on the main division.

This will relieve the work of the regular time freight crew, which has increased rapidly during the past year. The new train will prebably carry the extra through express car from Philadelphia, which would bring it into Rochester three hours ahead of the present schedule. The new service would undoubtedly be entirely satisfactory to those who are now complaining of the inadequate service. DUFFY-LEAVY. Church Wedding for Young Persons of Mount Morris.
