The scholars need not come in person to get them, unless they wish. Any member of their family, on presenting the ticket (or certificate) they receive at school, will be entitled to a button.

We have distributed these certificates to the various schools, so that no one will be overlooked. Harris Struck by Fast Train. Special Dispatch to the Democrat and Chronicle.

Addison, March -Oscar F. Harris, landlord of Hotel Harris at Cameron Mills, ten miles west of here, WAS struck and instantly killed by Erie train No. 47, known st the Southern Tier Express, this forenoon about 10 o'clock. Harris, who was very deaf, started from the Erie station to his hotel, a sbort distance up the tracks. He did not hear the approach of the train, which passes through Cameron Mills at a speed of fifty miles an hour, Several persons shouted a warning, but he did not hear them.

The train struck him, threw him some distance and killed him instantly. Harris was one of the best known characters in this vicinity, and had been in the hotel business all his life. It had been his boast that he never lived outside of a hotel. He was 67 years of age, and he leaves his wife and one son, Ernest, of Cameron, Harris had probably caused the Steuben county officials more trouble in the past few years than any other one man. He had paid the county a small fortane in fines for violation of the exelse laws.

For his last offense he was fined 8500 and sentenced to three months in the Monroe County penitentiary. He had just completed his sentence and returned home a few days ago. decided in the affirmative. SUDDEN DEATH OF LE ROY WOMAN Mrs. Caroline Sturm Passes Away in Rochester. Le Roy, March Mrs. Caroline Sturm, wife of Christian Sturm, who resides just south of Le Roy, died this at the home of Mrs. Pieffer, in morning Rochester, where she was visiting.

Mrs. Sturm's death was sudden. One week ago Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Sturm went Rochester attend the funeral of to their brother-in-law, John Zoble.

The following Sunday Mrs. Sturm fell on an icy walk and injured her head, but she seemed to be doing well until just a few moments before her death. The cause of her death was heart ditticulty. Mrs. Sturm WAS born in Germany fifty-eight years ago and came to this country about thirty six years ago.

She had been A resident of Le Roy for the past fifteen years. Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Fred Sturm, of Le Roy. It was only about one month ago that A son of Mr. and Mrs. Storm died at Seattle, and was brought here for burial.

Mrs. Sturm's remains will be brought to Le Roy to-morrow. Nundahwa Grange Meeting. Nunda, March 8. -Nundahwa Grange last Saturday had a dinner served by Mrs.

Medcalf, Mrs. Price, Mrs. Stonebrook and Mrs. Ramsay. Several guest remained during the literary programme, which consisted of an opening by the grange, instrumental duet.

SHALL PARK LAND BE ACCEPTED? Question to Be Submitted to Voters of Wolcott. Wolcott, March park question will be submitted to the voters of the village of Wolcott at their annual election to-morrow. May 8, 1906, the trustees of the First Presbyterian Church of Wolcott gave to the village the deed of that parcel of land lying behind the Presbyterian and the Baptist Church promises and bordered on the east by the old village park.

The gift was made on condition that the village toothouse and the lockup be removed from the old park premises within ninety days and that the engine house building be removed within three years. A further condition was that the village should improve the land granted and use it for public park purposes only. The contract was filled as far as removing the buildings designated within thirty days. The land was leveled, a improvements were made upon it, but now the three years is nearly gone and the engine house, a large two-story building, has not been removed. Warsaw, March -Silas F. Mann died yesterday at her home, on Park street, aged 73 years. She was the Nichols daughter and of was Clark born and in Nancy Sardinia, Howell N. July 5, 1835. Forty-nine years ago she was married to S.

F. Mann, of Arcade, and they resided in that town until 1891, when they removed to WarsaW. Mrs. Mann leaves her husband and two sons, Dr. Carl B.
