Tuesday, Mary 8, 1951 INTERNATIONAL HONOR-Harold A. Cowles of Forest Lawn, who led the field of 300 entries in the International Rose Color Slide Exhibition, looks with pride at his first prize trophy. The winning slide of a yellow rose was taken in Highland Park. Ceremonies Scheduled Today On County's 130th Birthday Monroe County, a strapping birthday today. Ceremonies at the Courthouse, Board of Supervisors' chamber, marking the natal day and paying tribute to President James Monroe after whom the county was named.

The exercises will be open to the public. Gordon A. Howe, chairman of the Board of Supervisors, will side and Raymond J. Lee, Perinton supervisor and Republican floor leader, will introduce Arthur H. a Crapsey and Dr.

Blake McKelvey, county and city historians, as speakers. Dr. Dexter Perkins of the University of Rochester will give a tribute to Monroe. Following this program, proceedings will remove to the corner of Main and Fitzhugh St. where a tablet marking the 130th anniversary of the first meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be unveiled.

After a presentation and, acceptance by Howe and County Manager Clarence A. Smith, Laurence Gouverneur Hoes of Washington, D. will speak. Hoes is Monroe's Church Federation To Meet May 22 The 32nd annual meeting of the Federation of Churches will be held at Brick Church Institute at 6:15 p. m.
