In the afternoon he delivered the presentment to Judge Brown, who served a Copy of it on lr. Crapsey in the evening. No details of the presentment were given out either by Judge Brown or lr.

Bishop WalK-er left Ttochester yesterday afternoon. The ert'h-shtstieal court that will try I r. Crapsey wits appointed by the annual council of the diocese, held in Corning last May.

Friends of the university have long felt that it would greatly enlarge its usefulness if it could provide residence accomodations for its men upon the campus. The place chosen by the architects is one of the most What use the university authorities expect to make of their beautiful campus with the iii'-reiiM' of buildings iu it, becomes a oui-sfiin of vital interest now OHTHX fact, the architects were told that in any case they must preserve these trees.

It was of course practically impossible to make any radical cbange in the neighborhood of the existing buildings, and lovers of the campus will therefore welcome the fact that tho avenue of lindens constituting the entrance from I'rinee street is retained. A feature of the main entrance from University aveune which promises to be very attractive Is formed by setting back the fence seventy-hve feet from the street that the new IO.ntman laboratories on tho grounds are almost completed and there is a prospect of another building, for applied science, iu the near future. This uiaitcr has already had attention from them, with the result tlut the plan of the campus as given herewith has been made. There is no other open space in the center of the city as large as the campus, and it has long been enjoyed by the peo tpnet and beautiful upon the whole campus, and, as such a building would undoubtedly open upon the campus rather than the street, it wiil lie seen that tho living rooms for the students would have the great advantage of south frontage with abundant sun, and a beautiful outlook. The plan also indicates the prospect fo some definite improvement of the athletic field upon the campus. It Is not likely that the athletic Interests of the student can be adequately provided for in a permanent way on this space, but the improvement indicated on the plan will greatly facilitate the students' sports.

The plan presented does not include the whole of the university property, inasmuch as the president's house, with the open land to the west of it, is across Prince street, and presents a much simpler problem than the campus itself. It Is understood that the space west of the president's the court?" Judge Brown was asked last Oriental Back Combs studded with rhinestones, worth 50 and 75c, special, 42c each. It is gratifying to know that the trustees of tbe university have appreciated the importance of so placing new buildings as they come to be erected that the dignity and beauty of thu campus will not only be preserved, but increased. The accompanying cut shows the result of careful and long continued study of tne problem of the campus, and was made for the university by lieins LaFarge, of New York, who are well known in Rochester as the architects of St. Faul's Episcopal Church. The feature of this proposed plan which will undoubtedly give greatest satisfaction is the retention of the open front on Cniversitl avenue, so preserving for the public some of the most attractive and parklike feature of the camous. Those familiar with, the present plan will remark the abandonment in tiie new plan of the curving driveways from I'niversity avenue to Anderson Hall.

The urcbitocts sought to retain the present arrangement, but found that it does not iend itself to i with the actual trial. The buildings marked upon tbe plan are, with few exceptions, simply suggestions for the location of future buildings as the need for such buildings arises and provision for them is made. Two of theso proposed future buildings, however, are of more titan pa.ssing interest. Tile site suggested for an auditorium calls attention to one of the greatest aeeds of the university.

It is understood Uiat Weil-developed plans are in hand for such a building if at any time the funds ne-Msary for its erection can be secured. It would furnish much needed accomodation, not sintply for commencements and other university functions, but also for public lectures and tine concerts. If th? university could become the means of providing noa instruction and fine entertainment to tiie citizens would ndd greatly its value as a high educational influence in the community. It Is understood that the plana which have been made provide for a small ball to accomodate about four hundred people, and also for a total seating capacity in the large auditorium of about twelve hundred. The provision of such an auditorium would be of decided advantage not only to the university hut also to the city.

The other building for which a place Is definitely marked ami which is of more house Is to be reserved by the trustees for finding of the court, and he has the power a Building for the women students, win shall include full gymnasium opportunities, and will 'be provided whenever funds avuil able for the purp'tse can be secured.
