A sturdy son of Col-pate, Henry S. Gillo, gave Holy Cross a demonstration of hia might here this afternoon when he ripped the Purple line asunder on three distinct occasions, and led the Maroon to a 21 to 0 victory. For his pains he received a blow on the head in the final period which may keep him out of the game a week or longer. In the second, third and fourth periods, after Colgate had worked the ball into scoring position, Gillo carried it over. The Holy Cross forwards were uii-ahle to stop his powerful lunges.

His uas a superb exhibition of the old-fashioned plunging game, but spectacular only in the consistency of it. There was one long run, a 27-yard dash by Captain Hubbell, but otherwise the struggle was devoid of most of those things which go to make modern football a thrilling spectacle.
