The procession formed on Andrews street, In front of St. Joseph' Orphan Asylum, and when it moved, after 8 were nearly 500 men in line. The line of march was through Andrews, North Clinton, Franklin, East Main, State, Allen, North Washington, West Main and East Main streets to South Clinton, where a dress parade was formed.

The procession was headed by the Fifty-fourth Regiment Band and the following staff officers Colonel, H. N. X. Foery quartermaster general, F. F. Seibert. The men, all uniformed, made a fine appearance while marching and in the dress parade showed up In splendid form.

On Monday next the union will hold Its annual reunion at Sea Breeze. The special work for East and West Main, State and Exchange streets has been received and it is necessary to place the same in position within a few days in order that the State street line may be operated by electricity as soon as possible. The board granted the request of the company as well as permission to close the streets at the Four Corners from to-night until Monday morning. The Board awarded sprinkling contracts to George Bantel Sons as follows North and South Fitzhugh streets, 39 Mortimer street, 26 Mumford street, Jones avenue, 16.

Complaint was made that since the death of J. W. Breakey the men employed by him to drive sprinkling carts had not been paid, and the sprinkling had been neglected. The Board directed that the bondsmen of Mr. Breakey be notified to continue the work.

Ellis, two prominent citizens of Toronto, are in the city with a view to securing Mr. Kuichling services, for the city of Toronto, and yesterday morning they called upon Mayor Carroll for information as to Mr. Kuichling' ability and experience as a civil engineer. An afternoou paper stated that His Honor told the Torontoites that the city of Rochester was looking to Mr.

Kuichling, with the idea of securing hia services permanently. All honorably discharged soldiers of the United States are invited to join the league.
