07 BASTOM i wth li 1 Has, to man hows, been unsatisfactory, either in atffount er profits, if not in both respects. A steady, reliable trade, mich as our long sstablished basincsm commands, emrbtcM us in such svnson to meet the wants of customers in a liberal manner. lieing attra ys smre of a tn good articles, and having a large onflct for only the better class of goods, tre can buy to great advantage in a dull season. Having erery fat-ait of the ntar-kets that can be desired, u-hether buying or selling, if is a great al-vtntage to knoo tha after innkAny pjrttfitable purchases, have at equally sure outlet for the" goods. It is manifest that no house unifies, can stand lomg under continued losses; and a business that makes the least loss oa stock, badlij oruHM-isely bought, caa do better fos its custojners as well as itself.

It no direction are profits now so quickly absorbed as this. Without pretension to superior wisdom or penetration in this respect, we do claim that wr long connection with the business here, a close knowlelge of our own tradst and its certain wauls, enables us to fudge quite accurately in advance, in making judicious purchases, whether as to the class or styles of goods, or the proper time to buy. This alone is equivalent to an ordinary profit lu re these condition are wanting and in Hi is lies tha secret of our tout in ued and regular' steady trade when the general complaints are long and loud. Having thus far this season enjoyed a satisfactory trade, we sha't endeavor, during the remainder of the season, to offer continual in-ducements that customers aiul friends cannot fail to appreciate. A.

S. 31 ANN Stale Street. OUR ASSORTMENT of Summer Hosiery is unusually gooil. We sell sjtlendid Rrittsl, Cotton Socks at $.1 a dozen, or 25c a pair the usual 3 shilling goods. Also, Men's Cotton Half Hose in all the higher anl finer grades proportionately cheap.

We think customers save about one pair in every four by buying from our stock. A. S. MANN CO. LADIES' and CHILDREN'S Hosiery in nnsarpasaet assortment, and all at moderate price.
