Teachers Have Picnic Faculty members from the Sentral Community school and families were entertained at a picnic supper last week Tuesday at the Fenton park. Following the supper a teachers meeting was held in Lone Rock school building. The Edw. Blanchards, Pat and Kim, were at Clifford Mueller's in Stanley, recently. They visited the Wisconsin Dells. Wednesday the Blanchards left for Nevada to visit the Delbert Blanchards and called on the George Thompsons and Howard Blanchards in Des Moines. Mrs.

Emma Hurlburt and daughter Rachael, and the Clinton Raths visited in Ledyard Sunday at Sidney Payne's. The W. J. Cottons returned home last week after three weeks at their cottage at Okoboji. The LeRoy Kleppers and Sam McCleishes were guests Thursday in West Bend of Mr.

Klepper's sister, the Ernie Frieciens. Mrs. Naomi Marlow was guest Thursday at Burt ir. the Herman Madsel residence. The Garry Browns, Cincinatti, Ohio, spent last week at Jesse Blanchard's Jr.

The Woodrow Pettits were Sunday guests at the Harlan Blanchard's. They and the Erich Seegebarths enjoyed a pot luck suoper a.t the Blanehard home. Bernard returned home from the Veterans hospital, Des Moines, Fridaay. He will return Sept. 16.

The Rolland Baxters spent Sunday at Osage at the Walter Rowcliff home. The Henry Schroeders and the Andrew Thomsons attended a directors convention at Vacaction Village at Okoboji recently. B. Nelson, Iowa City, spent Thursday at the Thomsen home. Thomsen, of Sun Valley, also visited Thursday.

She is a sister-in-law of Mr. Thomsen. Sunday the Herman Masens, Ringsted, were guests of the Thorn- sens. The Delmar Fischers visited his mother, Mrs. Sarah Fischer, at Holy Family hospital at Estherville, Sunday.

The Roy Jensens and Jamie also called at the Fischer home. The Fritz Freyholtzes and Jerry and the Art Zumachs spent last weekend at Fall Creek, with the Rev. and Mrs. O. C.

Geisler, former minister here. The Orville Kressins also visited there Sunday. Lakota Couple Wed ELNORA CHRIST, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Fred Christ, and Maynard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rippentrop, both, of La- kola, were married Aug. 30 at the St. Paul Lutheran church at La- ko.a.

Record books were handed in to be sent to the extension office at Algona, to be checked and graded. DIES Mrs, Allan Neymeyer of Traer died recently, after a 3 weeks battle for her life. She was badly burned in a gas explosion in the basement of her home, August 10 and has been under medical care at Iowa City.

LEDYARD GIRL, LAKOTAN, TO SWEA CITY LEDYARD The Bethany Evangelical and Reformed church was the scene of the wedding 23 at 8 p. m. of Ann Marie, daughter of the Carlin Egesdals, and Robert Gerald, son of the Theodore Wallentines, of Lakota. The Rev. Victor Vriesen officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Mrs. Orville Brandt was or- eanist and accompanied Gary Gabel, Swea City, who sang two solos, and Jane Egesdal, who sang, My Faith Up To Thee. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a gown of white lace over tulle, fashioned with a scoop neckline, scalloped with tiny pearls. Her finger tip veil was attached to a Juliet cap. She jaivied a white Bible on which was a cascade of roses.

Her only jewelry was a pearl necklace' a gift of the groom. Her attendats were the bridegroom's sister, Ruth, as maid of honor. She wore a gown of white dotted swiss over green taffeta. Bridesmaids were Ruth Ploeger, classmate of the bride, Karin Wallentine, sister of the groom, and Jane Egesdal, sister of the bride as junior bridesmaid. Their dresses were white dotted swiss over pink, blue, and yellow taffeta.

Their corsages were colonial bouquets of pomps dyed to match their dresses. Martha Elaine Wallentine, sister of the groom, was flower girl, and Daryl Holcomb, cousin of the bridegroom was ring bear- er. The groom's attendants were William Wallentine, East Chain, as best man, and Carlin Egesdal brother of the bride, and Roger Holcomb as groomsmen. Virgil Wallentine, brother of the tfroom, was junior groomsman. Eldon Egesdal, of Elmore, and Richard Dahl, of Swea City, were ushers.

A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony for 225 guests. Mrs. Carlin Egesdal Jr. and Mrs. Donald Eichorn were dining room hostesses.

Mrs. Earl Egesdal, Elmore, and Mrs. George Wallentine, East Chain, cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. Dean Lloyd was in charge of the guest book.

The gift table was in charge of Mrs. Harley Blue Earth, Shirley Udstuen, Deanna Wiemer and Judith Roseboro. Waitresses were Janice -Edwards, Carmen and Carol Larsen, Carmen Egesdal, Jane Wallentine and Janet Johnson. Kitchen helpers were Mesdames Raymond Sorenson, Clay-, ton Roseboro, Herman Brandt, J. C- JBlome, Edwards, 'Ralph Johnson, Fred Ploeger, Herman Goetz, Roger Goetz, and Marlin Runksmeier.

Following a short wedding trip they will be at home in Swea City where the groom is employed by the farmers elevator. The bride is a graduate of the Ledyard community school and also -attended the Lyle school of beauty. The bridegroom also graduated from the Ledyard nigh school and attended Gustavus Adolphus for, two years. K-s. Vriesett's Mother Bits The Rev.

Mrs. Vriesen's father, Dr. E. A. Fossum, returned home them Friday for a couple if weeks.

Susie Mousel, who has been ill for some time, was taken to the Estherville hospital 1 a I Wednesday. The William Baumans are parents of a boy born Friday, Sept. Mrs. Tom Ketelsen is a patient at Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, where she had surgery on her leg. She is recovering nicely.
