vents Mauldin Exhibit november 2006 75 A reception was held recently at Southern Breeze Gallery for the opening of an exhibit featuring the works of painter Nancy Mauldin. Nancy is known for her impressionistic treatment of the European landscape. In a release about the exhibit Nancy said: split my time between my home in Europe and my home here in Mississippi for several years. captivated by the quaint scenes and the gracious people of Europe, and love capturing the spirit of their experience and sharing it with my Mississippi Most of the paintings in this show follow her explorations in the rural area around her French home near the medieval city of Carcassonne. She portrays the geometric architecture and flowing terrain of southern France in various color palettes suiting homes.

The Northsider, who received a in fine art with honors from the University of Mississippi, has studied under Bess Dawson, Marie Hull, Sammy Britt, Carole Katchen, Alan Flattman and Sidney Herme.
