Rigid restrictions are placed upon time and manner of shooting wild game birds. No wild game bird may be shot at or killed while sitting on the ground or water, unless wounded.

No wild game bird may be shot at or killed earlier than one hour before sunrise or later than one hour after sunset. No wild game bird may be shot at or killed from a motor boat. Live ducks may not be used as decoys. The law, however, does not apply to farmers who shoot birds which destroy other birds, or are ruinous to fruits and grains.
