Senior outfielder Joey whrf hhmmhbb- had struggled at the plate the first ROYAL PALM BEACH Anthony Catanese knows what it feels like to win a state baseball championship. He was a starter for the Jefferson County (W.Va.) High team that won Class 3A titles the past two years. Catanese, however, wanted to play his senior year in Florida because he heard the level of play was much better than in West Virginia. So he moved here last summer to live with his uncle and enrolled at Royal Palm Beach High.

Catanese has proved he can play here. He's been the starting shortstop for a Royal Palm Beach team that is one of half of the season, was the hero in that game. Three days later, junior catcher Scott Libby hit a three-run homer that sparked a five-run ini ning in the Wildcats' 6-1 win against state-ranked Rockledge. Bishop and Moore combined on a five-hitter. 1 "I've always felt this team could play with the big guys," libby said, pointing to the games against Wellington and Gardens.
