Several years ago and Mrs. Jfetzel left the farm and purchased a home in Randolph. Mrs. Het- 7Pl was by nature very (inlet and unassiiininir. She was a Rood friend and neighbor and general favorite with the children of the neighborhood.

For the past year she lias been In failing health. Many weeks of that time had been spent In the hospital, where everything WHS done to bring her back to health. Since her return from the hospital, several weeks ago, she has had the constant and devoted care of her husband, other relatives and friends. Her brother and two sisters have preceded her In death. She leaves to mourn, her husband, one sister, Mrs.

Alice Hct7.el, of Randolph, three brothers, Jim, Dick and Fred Weldon, all of Randolph, many other relatives and a host of friends. Funenil were held at (lie Methodist church Sunday nfl- iMiiooti ut 2:30 o'clock, with Hev. K. O. Douglass officiating.

Kay Alan Estcs sung two favorite songs, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden," with Mrs. Lisle Allely at the piano. The many beautiful floral tributes were cared for by Mrs. C. C.

Kstes. Mr. Ferrel bad also an Interesting history concerning the wood of which this travel is made. It is made of Lebanon Cedar. Geologists, searching for oil recently, by accident discovered this peculiar wood in the canyons of the Wail- bonsle hills, in Fremont county.

Samples of the wood wen 1 sent to experts who found it to be Lebanon Ccd-tr. Nowhere In the world has It been found before except III the Holy Land. The wood from which the gavel was made was found feet below the canyon top and in small pieces. It is a beautiful wood and has a icmeniblanco to black walnut, ebony and cedar. Lunch was served at the close of the evening.

Interment was In the Silver City cemetery. Miss Mary A. Pullman was born Dec. 31, 1862 during the Civil war on a farm near Mtisca- tlne. Had she lived until the end of this year she would have been 83.

All of her life was ispent In Iowa. When she came to this western part of the state much of the land wan open prairie. Through her large family circle shn shared In much of the social and llfp of the community. Many r.pphews and nieces wil'l miss her hospitality and her hf-lpfulnPM. She had many friends because of her own spirit of Interment wns made In thp Silver City cemetery.
