Kirsten may resurface on 'Party of Five' By Jay Bobbin Special to Vie Palm Beach Post Question: Since the character Kirsten has returned to Party of Five, will she be on the show permanently from now on? Answer: It's not likely, especially now that she's married, as she revealed to her stunned ex-fiance, Charlie (played by Matthew Fox), on the Fox drama in November. However, given her close link to Charlie and his current health crisis, she'll probably continue to resurface from time to time. She is featured in the episode scheduled for this Wednesday (9-10 p.m., WFLX-Channel 29, WSVN-Channel 7). Executive producers Amy Lippman and Chris Keyser always state how much they enjoy using actress Paula Devi in that role, but they also maintain that they want Kirsten to have real relevance to the given story whenever she appears. i sx. " ' Q: I've been watching repeats of Law & Order on A&E and following the new episodes on NBC, but I can't recall who the original stars of the series were. Who were they? A: When the Emmy-winning drama premiered in the fall of 1990, George Dzundza and Christopher Noth played the I Ml Hill police detectives with Dann Florek as their boss; Michael Moriarty and Richard Brooks were the prosecutors with Steven Hill as the district attorney they answered to. That makes Hill the only founding cast member who's still on the pro- David Conrad and Kimberly Williams earned a loyal following as young lovers on Relativity, but didn't win big ratings. gram. Q: What ever happened to the show Relativity? I really liked it. A: As with the two other series that executive producers Edward Zwick and Marshall Her-skovitz made for ABC, thirtysomething and My So-Called Life, that drama which starred Kimberly Williams and David Conrad as young lovers had a loyal following that didn't translate into big ratings. Its late-Saturday slot last season wasn't much help, though after it was taken out of that time period, it was given a halfhearted second shot with the scheduling of its remaining episodes in an earlier Monday spot. The show clearly wasn't designed to be shown at that hour, so it wasn't long before it was gone for good. Q: Where have I seen the actress who plays Ellen DeGeneres' new girlfriend on Ellen before? A: Lisa Darr has done lots of guest-star work in recent seasons, including her portrayal of another lesbian character on NYPD Blue. She's also been a regular on several short-lived series, Crime & Punishment, Flesh W Blood and The Office. Have a question about television?
