"This program offers conversion to critical ratings pay-grade for paygrade," Chief Wiser said. "If the veteran has been separated or discharged for more than three months but less than four years from a tour of at least one year active duty in the regular Navy or Naval Reserve, and if he has held a non-critical rating in paygrade E-5, E-4, or a designated striker in paygrade E-3, and provided he is in all other respects qualified for re-enlistment, it might pay him to investigate." This program, he noted, guarantees class "A" and "B" school, which includes two years of schooling. More information may be had by contacting Wiser at the local recruiting office.
