Astrid was in love with Stuart Sutcliffe, an early Beatle who died in Hamburg when he was 21. Q. Richard Helms, head of our Central Intelligence Agency, was recently divorced. However had Helms been divorced previously, he might not have been appointed to his present position, since the CIA does not view divorced men as the best security risks. Of late, Helms has been seen with Cynthia McKclvie, divorced wife of Washington, D.C., orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Allan McKelvie, and mother of four, aged 17 to 23. PEGGY AND GUY SMITH Q. About a year ago Peggy Rusk, daughter of Dean Rusk, married a Negro gentleman named Guy Smith. I hear the former Margaret Rusk is now with child, hut that the marriage has foundered. Any truth? How many Negro generals in the U.S. military services at this time? L. E. R., Syracuse, N.Y. A. Two: the recently commissioned Brig. Gen. Frederick E. Davison, 51, of the Army, and Lt. Gen. Benjamin O. Davis Jr. of the Air Force, whose father, now retired, was the only other Negro general in the history of the armed forces. Q. How much did Franchot Tone leave in his estate?
