Ymeric Sannon, who came to Florida with his brother when he was 5, had 10 goals and five assists as his soccer team, the under-14 Kicks, won the National Championship of the Superclubs of North America in Orlando on Nov. 30. The Kicks and Sannon, the tournament MVP, outscored then-six opponents 24-5, including 9-1 victories over two pre-tournament favorites, Kansas and New Orleans. The Kicks, the first American team to win the World Youth Cup in 1996, became the first Super-club champion with a 1-0 victory against the Houston Texans.
