CR AN BERRY CHOCOLATE REFRIGERATOR CAKE 1 package 7'4) ounces) or i packages (3V,) ounces each) chocolate pudding and pie filling t teaspoons grated orange peel 2 envelopes undayored gelatin .354 cups milk ' - 2 cups (1 pint) heavy cream, whipped 1 can (1 pound) Jellied cran-, ' berry sauce cut' into 'j-inch cubes I cup cranberry Juice cocktail 4 cup orange Juice 2 packages (3 ounces each) lady fingers, split In a 2-quart saucepan, blend pudding mix, orange peel and gelatin. Add milk gradually, stirring until mixture is well-blended. Cook according to package directions. Cool' and then chill until slightly thickened. Fold In whipped cream. Fold cranberry cubes into chocolate mixture, reserving 1-2-cup of the cranberry cubes for decorating top. Combine cranberry juice cocktail with orange Juice. Stir to mix. Brush mixture on lady fingers and line the sides and bottom of a 9-inch spring-form pan. Spoon about half of the chocolate pudding Into the lined pan. Top with remaining lady fingers. Spoon remaining filling Into pan. Chill until firm. To serve: Remove sides of pan; place cake on a serving dish; garnish with reserved cranberry cubes. But for greater tenderness, choose it when young, from 3 to 6 Inches long. Here are two excellent recipes. ZUCCHINI WITH CHEESE SAUCE 4 medium zucchini t cup milk 1- 3 cup real mayonnaise 2- 3 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese teaspoon salt Da.sh pepper Cut zucchini lengthwise Into 14-inch slices or crosswise. Cook in boiling salted water just until tpnder. Drain, If necessary. Prepare sauce by blending milk into mayonnaise in saucepan. Add cheese, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted and sauce is thickened and smooth. Pour over zucchini. Serve hot. Six servings. Zt'CCHINIANTIPASTO 5 to t medium zucchini, cut Into 'J inch slices 1 cup garlic French dressing 3 tablespoons pickle relish 2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley 2 scallions, finely chopped Cook zucchini In gently boiling salted water, covered, about 3 minutes. (Zucchini should be crispy tender.) Drain. Arrange in shallow bowl or pan. Combine garlic French dressing, pickle relish, green pepper, parsley and scallions. Pour over zucchini. Chill several hours or overnight. Serve as antlpasto or on lettuce as salad. Six servings. Try These Tasty Recipes SUCCULENT STUFFED TOMATOES 4 large firm tomatoes cup chopped fresh onion 2 tablespoons salad oil 1 pound ground beef chuck 'i cup snipped parsley Vt teaspoons salt i teaspoon pepper V cup dry bread crumbs Cut a slice from top of each tomato. Scoop out pulp, leaving a shell about ',-lnch thick. Reserve shells. Chop tomato pulp coarsely. Saute onion in oil until golden. Add ground meat; cook until meat loses its red color. Stir In tomato pulp and remaining Ingredients. Spoon Into tomatoe shells. Bake in 350-degree jven 15 minutes. Four serv-' lngs. CORN, BACON CASSEROLE 4 cups fresh corn, cut off the cob 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 'J teaspoon ground black pepper., i, cup milk t slices bacon, diced. Combine corn, sugar, salt and black pepper and milk. Turn into buttered 1-quart casserole. Cook bacon slightly; drain off fat and discard It. Arrange bacon over corn.
