"We're looking to enlighten the downtown area by bringing in different music ... so people don't have to hear the same mumbo jumbo," says Moses. Dress at Club 2000 is presentablecasual anything from baggy shirts and big jeans to a jacket and tie. Just don't show up in a tank top and pajama bottoms. The layout is smooth high top tables and bar stools, a full wrap-around bar, adequate dance floor and a section of parlor-style furniture to unwind on. It's moody, sharp and sophisticated. Best of all, from 20 stories up, Club 2000 gives you a "top-of-the-world" look at the entire downtown area. It's the kind of thing you'd expect to find in a city far larger and more cosmopolitan than West Palm Beach. Women 18 and over and men 21 and over are welcome. Cover charges are $5 for those 21 and older, $10 for the 18 to 20 crowd. That might sound a little pricey, but if you go there, everyone will look up to you. BRYON RIVERS BLUES BACK ROOM 16 E. If there's one club in West Palm Beach that's above all the others (we're talking spacial relations here), it's Club 2000 on the 20th floor of the North Bridge building on 515 N. Flagler Drive (aka the "Darth Vader" building). During the day it's Rockwell's Restaurant, but after 11 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the music starts pumping and Club 2000 kicks into gear. Each night has a theme: Thursday is "Evolution," featuring progressive house and trance. "Moscow" Fridays bring a mix of house, retro, alternative and industrial and "Celestial Groove" on Saturdays showcases the latest in European house and dance music. DJ's Moses (Moses Santana) and Dreem (Patrick Fulton also the manager and founder of the club) keep the audio atmosphere fun, energetic and futuristic. There's also a video screen displaying computer enhanced JAMES E. BUFFAN GOLD COAST BAND "Christmas Concert," 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boynton Beach Civic Center, 128 E. Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach.
