By Pat Moore Palm Beach Post Staff Writer . STUART Stuart attorney Michael Rubin admitted Thursday he violated Florida Bar rules by sending obscene photographs to a Stuart prosecutor three years ago. He entered a plea admitting the , violation before Seminole County Judge Donald Marble-stone, the Florida Bar referee, halting a trial next week at the Martin County Courthouse. Had Rubin lost at trial, he said Florida Bar attorneys were seeking a three-year revocation of his license. The agreement does not require Rubin to admit a criminal act other than for the Bar proceeding. J ' "As far as I'm concerned this was too good of a deal to pass up," Rubin said Thursday after entering the plea. "I couldn't take a chance with my career. I had to do it." The agreement recommends Rubin be suspended from practicing law for 90 days, followed by a one-year probation. He also must undergo weekly mental-health counseling for six months, pay at least $2,700 toward the cost of the investigation and $50 weekly so the Bar can monitor reports from his therapist It is not final until approved by the state Supreme Court, Bar attorney Jan Wichrowski said. Rubin curtailed his law practice Jan. 1 for one year as part of a deal with federal prosecutors not to pursue criminal charges against him. The terms of the federal pretrial diversion agreement required Rubin to accept responsibility for his behavior of mailing the photographs to Assistant State Attorney Nita Denton in 1994, records state. But Rubin has continued to deny he sent the photographs and insisted his DNA and fingerprint experts would counter tes-. timony from the state's experts who claim his finererorint and sa savetiro MENS ROBERT ALAN i HAGGAR LONG SLEEVE PLAID SHIRTS Reg. 21.99 & 37.99. 30 save nrn 30 ENTIRE STOCK MAIDENF0RM BRAS Reg. 15.00-26 00. save ENTIRE STOCK MENS ACTIVEWEAR Reg. 14.99-44.99. nnn saveuo ENTIRE STOCK ANNIE", EASY STREET 1 HUSHPUPPIES SHOES Reg. 29.99-39.99.
