NO DOWN PAYMENT, TAKE MONTHS TO PAY tion as adviser to the Milwaukee Youth Council of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The white Koman Catholic priest had been adviser to the council since lDtia. He said he was resigning 'to devote more time to militant social action involvement within the St. Bonifac parish." o! which he is a member of the pastoral tarn. The church is located in Milwaukee's predominantly Negro Inner Core, from which the civil r ights marches ema-naled. (iroppi denied flatly that he was resigning because of moves within the council to have him removed because he was white. For 20(1 consecutive days, beginning late in August of 1W7, IheVouth Council, usually with (iroppi in the lead, marched throus!1 Milwaukee streets, demanding an open housing ordinance. Such a measure is now on the books. The marches sometimes had as many as l,rIHI persons, including supporters from various parts of the country. At other times, as the winter dragged on, only a dozen or so mer.ibers of the council paraded, but thev continued until last March. Archbishop William K. Cousins resisted pressure to have (iroppi removed from his assignment at St. Boniface, defending the priest's goals but sometimes criticizing his methods. (iroppi said Saturday he believed the Youth Council had become powerful enough to function without hisassistance. The bride's father, John Eisenhower, son of the former President, said the couple planned to stop in Washington "to visit Dad." The general is in Walter Reed Hospital recuperating after a series of heart attacks. After visiting Ike, they will leave immediately for their honeymoon in Colombia, Eisenhower said. Julie Nixon, daughter of the President-elect, was one of the bridesmaids. She plans to marry David Eisenhower, 21, brother of the bride before Christmas. He was an usher. The petite bride wore an empire style gown of candlelight white with a flowing skirt of lace and a matching coat which formed a train. The dress had a high collar with tilted sleeves, and a lace applique covered both the gown and the coat. She wore a small fitted cap with a shoulder length bouffant veil The six-minute wedding ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Sheldon M. Smith in Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge Park which was the winter quarters for (ieorge Washington's troops during the Revolutionary War. The wedding recessional march was played on the chapel's 100-foot carillon which has a bell from each of the 50 states. Mamie Eisenhower said after the ceremony that it took her back to the day her son, John, married his wife, Barbara. "But we certainly missed the General," she said. Susan Elaine Eisenhower, one of the bride's sisters, was maid of honor, and her younger sister, Mary Jean, was a bridesmaid. Other bridesmaids were Marta Cecilia Bamal, sister of the groom, and Inez Uribe of Medcllin, Colombia. Gustavo Uribe Lon-doo, also of Medellin, was best man. The couple planned to leave for Washington after a reception at the Aronomlnk Country Club in nearby Newtown Square. They will make their home in Colombia. The bride was a student at the University of Massachusetts. The groom graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Virginia and Hillsdale College In Michigan. (AP) -Zoltan Kalinszky, la, saw a lot ot world in the process of running away from boarding school. The youth finally got back to his home in this Los Angeles suburb, but it took him three weeks and across most of Europe and into the Orient to do it. Zoltan's adventure began Oct. 23 when he and three friends ran away from their school at Kastl, near Nuernberg in West Germany. They set out forSicily. He stowed away on a jet he thought was going direct to New York and then on to California. Instead, It flew to Hong Kong. Airline officials there found the boy sleeping when they cleared the plane. "They were very kind," Zoltan said. "They got me some more clothes and took me around Hong Kong." Then they called Zoltan's father, Elmer Katinszky, who had sent the youth to Germany to leam the language. "1 think he's making a mistake and throwing away a good opportunity to Eet the kind of education which will be very useful to him," said the father, "But after what's happened, it's obviously no good Irving to force him to stay there." ana souna are aimosi Convenient control center immediate Slide rule tuning UHF Built-in coaxial antenna terminal and transformer Color-minder controls i i) Model M907EWO - Color-minder controls Roll-a-round stand optional at extra cost 1 29 VAL.
