A few blues were taken in the surf at the old Air force Beach on Singer Island, but the expected run of blues in Lake Worth failed to materialize. Bluefishing inshore from Ihe St. Lucie Inlet in the Sun Parlor area was excellent, according to word received from the Pishin' Hole. Pishing with cut bait, John entered Lake Worth in large numbers, large catches of mut-lon snapper and other gainefish were scored aboard the drill fishing boats, and quite a number of suilfish were raised off I'alm Beach and Bovnton Beach. With easterly winds forcast today, the action probably will begin to fall off and move farther to the north, but the pompano activity should continue in Lake Worth. Most of I he pompano were taken drift fishing south of Peanut Island. Pompano fishermen checked in at Lake Side Tackle and Seafood with catches ranging up to .'ill and .'!") fish. Willie Musil and Billy DcBay each took 20 pompano in the lake. The Juno Beach Pier again was the scene of some wild fishing. The bluefish catches weren't as big as they were Wednesday at Ihe Pier, but the arrival of mackerel made up for that.
