Johnson Is a member of the Los Angeles Country Club, the El Dorado County Club, the Pt. Mugu Gun Club and the Mount Kenya Safari Club. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson had reservations on an evening air France flight to Paris. On their return, they will make their home in Bel Air, a Los Angeles suburb. one of Johnson's closest friends, flew in from Africa to act as best man. Mrs. Johnson was given In marriage by her 19-year-old son, Edsel. A brief reception was held following the ceremony In the green and apricot drawing room of the mid town duplex apartment overlooking the East River. Guests sipped champagne in the room furnished with 18th century French pieces and set off with loose arrangements ol yellow, orange and white flowers. A two-tiered white wedding cake widow of the motion picture producer and Dr. and Mrs. John Converse of New York. Dr. Converse, a well-known plastic surgeon, and Mrs. Converse, the widow of Gary Cooper, introduced Mr. and Mrs. Johnson at a dinner party last year. Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of Mrs. James F. McDonnell and the late Mr. McDonnell. Her grandfather, Thomas E. Murray, was a utilities executive and inventor. Mrs. Johnson has played an active role in social and charitable functions. was covered with Lily of the Valley and other fresh flowers. Among the guests were Mr. Johnson's 15-year-old son, Deane F. Johnson Jr., Mrs. Johnson's daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Uzielli; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Harris (Mrs. Harris Is Mrs. Johnson's sister; her husband Is a vice-president of United States Lines) and Mr. and Mrs. Murray McDonnell (Mr. McDonnell is Mrs. Johnson's brother and head of McDonnell & Co ). Also on the list were Mrs. Jerry Wald of Los Angeles, J 5W?5th5l. TEMI74 I1 " The civil ceremony, based on a religious service, was performed by criminal court judge Frederick L. Strong In the red-walled library of the penthouse apartment of Mrs. Charlotte Ford Niarchos, Mrs. Johnson's elder daughter. Strong composed the service himself and has used It on other occasions, including his of-ficiation three years ago at the wedding of Mrs. Johnson's younger daughter, the former Anne Ford, to Giancarlo Uziel-li, a member of the Rothschild international banking family. Mrs. Johnson's previous marriage, to the chairman of the board of the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, ended in divorce in 14. There are three children of the 23-year marriage, Mrs. Niarchos, Mrs. Uzielli and Edsel Bryant Ford 2d. Mrs. Johnson is a Roman Catholic. Mr. Johnson, an Episcopalian, was formerly married to Jane Pendergast. Mrs. Niarchos, the former wife of Stavros Niarchos, the Greek shipowner, was her mother's only attendant. There were only 24 members of the family and close friends at the ceremony late this afternoon that united in marriage the former wife of Henry Ford 2d and the prominent Los Angeles lawyer. A native Californian, he graduated with distinction in economics from Stanford University In 1939, and graduated at the top of his class at the Stanford Law School. He has served as chairman of the board of visitors of the law school for the last two years. The 50-year-old lawyer was elected a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cali Action Parish Hall, 21 W. 22nd St., Riviera Beach.
