Dittmar, 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Syracuse on October 13th. Born on March 1, 1927 in Schweinfurt, Germany, Heinz immigrated to the US with his wife Agathe and oldest son Peter in 1957. A tool and dye maker by trade, h e founded and co-owned Spinco Metal Products in Newark, NY, which manufactures refrigeration and air conditioning parts. Heinz retired in 1986, and enjoyed many ha ppy years traveling with Agathe in their motor homes and spending time in homes in Germany and Surfside Beach, SC. Heinz was predeceased by his sister, L iselotte Kunz. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Agathe; three children, Peter (Cynthia) Dittmar, Henry (Sheila) Dittmar, Heidi (Peter) Jones; 8 beloved grandchild ren, Emily, Peter Heinz, and Samuel Dittmar, Erich (Lauren) and Nadine Dittmar, and Natalie, Madeleine, and Isabella Jones. A strong, hardworking man, Heinz was a proud and devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Opa), and loved spending time with his family more than anything else. Services will be private.
