I know I made the right choice." Bonita Granville made her choice and she stayed by it. "I can't stand people who can't make decisions, or who make a decision and then vacillate," she said. "How could I have done otherwise? Jack's got a brain like a steel trap. He wants a wife. He doesn't want to be a man who is married to an actress." Wrather is also a man who got off to a head start. His father was one of the founders of the East Texas oil field, one of the richest, most prolific oil fields ever discovered. He and Miss Granville met on a blind date. "Jack had just come back from the war to a broken marriage and he was kind of displaced and restless and wanted to get away from Houston. He'd always been interested in show business and he came to Los Angeles to look over movieland. Some mutual friends introduced us. I was expecting somebody in a big wide hat and cowboy boots, chewing gum remember I was raised in the movies, where nothing was quite real and I was so pleasantly surprised when there arrived, this quite civilized looking man. We were en-aged three months later, but we didn't get married for another year." Bonita Granville was born in New York City, where her father, the late Bernard Granville, was a star of the Ziegfeld Follies. Her parents moved to the coast when she was about ten, and she became a child movie actress. She grew up within the studio walls, made her first hit as the hateful brat in "These Three," which won her an Academy Award nomination at the age of 12. She was the heroine of the Nancy Drew Mystery series, which she now owns. Wrather bought them all for her one year as a Christmas present. She also -had starring parts in "The Plough and the Stars," "Hitler's Children," and "Ah Wilderness." Miss Granville is a small woman, five feet two, who looks to be in her mid-forties. She has short blonde hair, blue eyes, wears high fashion clothes, and a square cut diamond ring, at a guess, 10 karats. "I love clothes," she said. "I've been on a few best-dressed lists in California. I wear different type things, Lily shifts all summer, little knits to the studio, my big name designer clothes when I'm traveling with Jack. Bill Blass is my favorite. Galanos (the best known (continued) LINCOLN SERVICE, Dept. FL 23-3B Pekin, Illinois I am very much interested. Pleatt tend me abiolutely FREE (I) A fist of U. i.
