(5) "The Naked and the Dead," (Part I) (1958). Aldo Ray, Cliff Robertson and Raymond Mas-sey star. A famous World War II novel reaches the screen, full of battles and men who find themselves In those battles. Good war story. 4 P.M. (10 "The Letter," (1940). Starring Bette Davis and Herbert Marshall. A woman shoots her lover, goes to trial for the murder, and then a letter turns up which incriminates her. A good one. 9 P.M. (4) "God's Little Acre," starring Robert Ryan and Tina Louise. A story based on Erskine Caldwell's novel about the greed of Ty Ty Walden, a Georgia farmer who believes that gold Is buried on his farm. 1 A.M. (10) "The Big Lift," (1950). Starring Montgomery Gift and Paul Douglas. Two GI's in post-war Germany help break the Russians' Berlin blockade and resolve their feeling toward the German people. FRIDAY 10 A.M. (10) "Mr. Blan-ding Builds His Dream House," (1948). Starring Cary Grant, M y r n a Loy, Melvyn Douglas. Story of the hilarious goings-on when a family from Manhattan attempts to build a home in the country. 4 P.M. (5) "The Naked and the Dead," (Part II) (1958).
