n THE PALM BEACH POST RESIDENCES ADVERTISING SECTION 45 SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 1998 Furniture maker offers graceful pieces of past - Note Under g Construction dramatic Lawson arms that characterize English styling. This series takes its name from Regent Street in London, which in the 1800s was home to England's finest upholstery workshops. In response to the trend for furniture with cleaner more tailored lines, Fajerski created several transitional pieces. The 15 upholstered pieces and four decorative mirrors were designed by John Fajerski, director of Schumacher Furnishings, who drew on traditional European designs. "By making subtle changes to traditional designs, I have updated pieces to fit with today's interiors without losing the integrity of the original piece," Fajerski said. In designing the upholstered furnishings, Fajerski focused on simple shapes and elegant lines. The result is traditional designs with classic styling. Most of the upholstered pieces reflect the graceful and fluid silhouettes of English 18th-century furnishings with specific attention paid to luxurious seating. The sinuous lines of the Mayfair Sofa, for example, rise from the skirt to form the outscrolled arm and gently curved back, creating a sophisticated look with a sense of the past The deeply channeled seats of the Regent Bench Series are framed with KEY WEST STYLE RIVERFRONT ESTATE WITH DOCK 4,150 sq.ft. of air-conditioned living area, 6,269 total.
