The majority of potential theater customers cannot afford the high prices. There are thousands of people who would like to see live productions, but those $35 seats, which are not the best, could buy a lot of groceries. So, either the actors accept less, or the producers reduce their greed. If the rent for the theater is too high, then the landlord should take less or look at an empty building. If the play requires an orchestra, the musicians should take less or get nothing. If the above people realize that it is "accept less or everybody gets nothing," the theaters will play to a full house. There are not enough wealthy patrons to keep all the playhouses in business. Parking should be free. Valet parking should also be free, and only the people who do the parking should depend on a tip. All these petty rip-offs should stop. Let's not overlook the outrageous prices charged at the refreshment counters. Make it a pleasure instead of a rip-off, and everyone involved will be a lot happier. Samuel Blair Boca Raton 'TGIF' should be put in Thursday's paper I've only been in South Florida for l'z months. I think your TGIF section is the best. However, I do have one suggestion that would make it absolutely perfect. Move the TGIF section to Thursday's edition of The Palm Beach Post. This way I can actually enjoy all the wonderful going-ons on Friday night I don't get a chance to read the paper until late Friday night and I miss out on the many great events.
