He was 79. :Mr. Tandy was a member of Jjffliter Island's Board of Adjust-rh$it when he was appointed to tht commission in 1986. He was Unopposed in the 1989 election and stepped down when his sec-oral term expired in 1993. iHe was vice mayor for six of t&idse years. Mr. Tandy, who retired from Blinker's Trust, was dedicated to the town and approached every project smiling, Town Manager Jim Spurgeon said. :"He was just one of those spe-cjQl types of people you always efjjpyed being around," he said. .-The funeral will be at 4 p.m. SLmday at the Christ Memorial QKapel on Jupiter Island. 1 " V- 4 fry. Marcello, Julia B., 73, of Lake Palm Beach Post Wire Reports LONDON Daniel Massey, an award-winning stage actor and member of a distinguished theatrical family, has died after a long illness, his agent said Thursday. He was 64. Mr. Massey, who had returned to the stage in 1995 after a battle with Hodgkin's disease, died Wednesday in a London hospital, said his agent, Wim Hance. A tall and slender actor, famous for his deep, mellifluous voice in such musicals as Stephen Sondheim's Follies, Mr. Massey was ideally suited to Noel Coward's drawing-room comedies, and won a Golden Globe award in 1968 for playing Coward in the movie Star with Julie Andrews as Gertrude Lawrence. Mr. Massey also won critical praise for heavy and demanding stage roles, such as his acclaimed portrayal of German conductor Wilhelm Furtwangler in the 1995 Ronald Harwood play, Taking Funeral Home, North Palm Beach. Mr. Critchfield was employed with the Kawneer Corporation as the Division Manager In Cleveland, Oh, during which time he also served as the president of the Cleveland Chapter of the Productors Council, and vice-president oT the Bay Village Kiwanis Club. He moved to Latrobe, Pa. where he was a member of the Latrobe Country Club when Arnold Palmer won his first Masters Championship In 1958. That same year, he moved to Boca Raton, FL and was a founding member and Chairman of the Building Committee of the First Presbyterian Church of Boca Raton. He is survived by his widow, Maxine Jay Critchfield of Atlantis, FL; two sons, Richard H.
