Barber lifted the puck over Boston goalie Gerry Cheevers after Bobby Clarke began a Flyers' rush by feeding Saleski cutting in on the right side. Saleski then found Barber as the Flyers extended their unbeaten streak to 10 straight games. The winning tally came only 1:20 after right winger Gary Dornhoefer tied the game at 3-3 by deflecting teammate Ross Lonsberry's shot from the right board past Cheevers.
