"Some night we're a little bit thin," Riley said. The Heat, who shot 56.2 percent, could not shake the Celtics until the final minutes. Miami's lead did not reach double digits until 1:36 remained. "It's amazing how they play like that," Mourning said about Boston's style. "I don't see how they can do it on a regular basis. I don't know if they're going to be effective with it on a consistent basis." They certainly aren't against the Heat, who have won eight straight against Boston. "We can play them 10 times and they're probably going to beat us 10 times," Iitino said. "Their talent is superior, their experience is superior." "Before the game Stan told me Walker is not one to get back on defense," Strickland said about his conversation with assistant coach Stan Van Gundy. Celtics coach Rick Pitino has noticed Strickland, who would be a perfect fit for the Celtics' up-tempo style. Note: Strickland will be a free agent at the end of the season and the Heat can offer no more than a starting salary of about $2.5 million. "If you watch the tapes, he outruns the tape," Pitino said. "You don't see that very often." Mourning and Tim Hardaway also took advantage of a defensive mismatches. Andrew DeClerq was no match for Mourning, who scored 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting.
