Boynton Beach skipper Butch Moser reported a good yellowtall bite on a 90-foot reef off Boynton Inlet. Kingfish up to 12 pounds were caught on the weekend in 80 to 110 feet straight out from the inlet. Sardines and cut strips were the baits of choice. Driftboats reported catching several cobias and a few sail-fish. 5. FRESHWATER LAKES Captain Charlie Clyne's customer caught 20 largemouth bass to 3 pounds on Sunday using 6-inch Culprit Red Shad plastic worms. Offshore fishing has been slow. 3. N. PALM BEACH COUNTY Paul Blacko weighed in a 10-pound permit at Inlet Bait and Tackle, Tequesta, on Sunday. He caught it on cut shrimp from the beach at Singer Island. Captain Chris Swanson of Grand Slam Sportfishing Supply reports good pompano action on live sand fleas and shrimp-tipped jigs from the shore at Juno Beach. Yellowtall, mangrove and lane snappers are biting on the reefs off Lost Tree In 60 to 90 feet of water. A jig tipped with live shrimp is the bait of choice. Small klngflsh are being taken from the same waters on drifted sardines or trolled drone Corner. R.T. Han caught a 15-pound snook on a Red Tail Hawk jig at the Taylor Creek Spillway. The same lure is working for anglers fishing for snook at night from the south jetty. Flounders also are being caught from the jetty on live shrimp. A few sea trout, redfish and undersize snook are being taken on live shrimp in the Indian River near the Harbor Branch facility. 2. MARTIN COUNTY A 2-pound, 6-ounce croaker, caught from a Hutchinson Island Beach on live shrimp, and a 9-pound, 4-ounce trout, caught on a broken-back Bomber plug at Mud Creek, were weighed in Sunday at the Jensen Beach Snook Nook. Pompano and bluefish to 2!2 pounds are being caught from Hutchinson Island beaches, along spoons. Offshore action has consisted mainly of school-size dolphins caught on trolled ballyhoos at depths ranging from 200 to 500 feet. Ben at Fishing Headquarters also reported two wahoo were caught Sunday by offshore trailers. Inshore action has been fair. Small bluefish and Spanish mackerel are being caught on spoons and jigs from Jupiter Inlet's south jetty. Monday morning, Louis Rossi and his guide caught and released four snook, plus a mixed bag of jacks and ladyfish, all caught on plugs and jigs in the lower Loxahatchee River. They also hooked a large bluefish that threw the hook. 4. S.
