Palm beach Post, Friday, December 10, li6 1j Hurt Driver Saved by 4Lady No Name' KANSAS CITY, Mo. (UPI) - A relative of Audrey Felts says the 47-year-old woman would have died during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend without the help of "Lady No Name," "Guppy," "Cartoon," "Starship," "Mouse," "Fishhook" and others. Miss Felts of Pleasant Valley drove her car off a bridge north of Birmingham Sunday night. It slid 12 feet down an embankment, trapping her inside, bruised and cut, as the temperature dipped to 12 degrees. But Miss Felts had a citizen's band radio and managed to call for help. Her distress sig nal was heard by Lula Farmer of Kansas City, known as "Lady No Name" on CB channels. "I tried to clear the channel and I got 'Birmingham out of her," said Mrs. Farmer. "She said, 'Help me, please help. I'm hurt bad.'" After contact with Miss Felts, "Lady No Name" helped direct other CB operators in a search for the woman. She was rescued about 30 minutes after her initial broadcast for help. Arthur Felts, a relative and detective with the Kansas City Police Department, said the woman was recuperating from the accident. 3 E "She could have frozen to death," Felts said. "From looking at the car later, it looks like the door was in contact with something because she couldn't open it." Mrs. Farmer says she bought her CB radio with the intention of aiding people in trouble. "I've helped others who've been out of gas, or had flat tires or car trouble," she said. "Any kind of help they need, I'm here beside this radio." mots?
