Page 10, Home for the Holidays Advertising Section Knives Feature Look of Past, Efficiency of Today There's no doubt about it. Our Colonial forebears had good taste. Their designs in furniture and silverware have withstood the test of time for they're made of dishwasher-safe Monomac. Four knives (parer, boner, butcher, and slicer) make up the cutlery set which is housed in an Early American wood-finish holder enhanced with a gold-toned eagle. A distinctive gift and welcome addition to any kitchen, the set can be hung on the wall. The suggested retail price is $14.95. A matching set of six steak knives, with an Early American tray for storage, retails for $12.95. The steak knives have the same "pewterized" specially etched blades and Antique White pistol grip handles. Both sets are dramatically gift packaged. and are as beautiful today as they were when our country had its beginnings. The pistol grip handles on their knives are particularly attractive. To celebrate the Bicentennial, the Imperial Knife Company has duplicated the look in a cutlery set and a steak, knife set in their Declaration Collection, a handsomely styled Early American line. The Declaration cutlery set features stainless knives with "pewterized" specially etched blades and Antique White handles. The handsome pistol grip handles are as practical as they are pretty. EARLY AMERICAN LOOK . . . Imperial's Declaration steak knife set and matching cutlery set are- handsome enough to decorate any kitchen. The steak knife set retails for $12.95 and the cutlery set for $14.95. HAVING A I0UB8T PARTY? 0 Don't Forget to Trim The Dinner Table, Too! Other figurines might also lend themselves to such an arrangement. An old-fashioned candleholder can lend itself beautifully to an arrangement of greens for a nostalgic look. If you have a rather pretty plant you'd like to spotlight, you might decorate the pot with green or red tape to give it a holiday feeling. A fruit bowl piled high with your prettiest ornaments makes a striking centerpiece for your table. A two-tier candy server could be filled with either tiny ornaments or decorative candies, then finished off with a big bow on top. Your tree is gaily trimmed and decorations adorn your door and mantelpiece but what about your dinner table? A holiday centerpiece will contribute to your festive decor and enhance your entertaining. A platter of shiny glass ornaments with fancy candles set among them would make an elegant centerpiece. A tiny artificial tree, colorfully trimmed, can set the properly festive note for the special dinner party. Fresh poinsettias will be especially admired by one and all at this holiday time. If you have a lovely silver bowl, fill it with holly for an unusually lovely centerpiece. A large candle, set amongst greens and pine cones, also creates-an attractive arrangement.
