Car-Train Crash Kills Three POST-TIMES CLASSIFIED ADS AD CANCELLATION INFORMATION nine on state roads over the weekend, were identified as the car's driver, Ernestine Stevens, 29, of Haines City, her daughter, Garnett Stevens, 9, and the 2-month-old infant, Sharell Edge, of Dundee. Injured were the infant's mother, Janet Edge, 22; her 4-year-old son, Richard Edge; Mrs. Steven's 7-year-old son Edward, and a Haines City brother and sister, Carol Johnson 22, and Kenneth Johnson, 16. Troopers said all eight were thrown from the vehicle when it was hit by the lead engine of the passenger train at an unmarked rural crossing about 3 miles north of Haines City. The patrol said the car was enr-oute from Haines City in Polk County to a church in Davenport, about 5 miles away, when it was struck by the train. Investigators said there was no warning light or gate at the crossing. They said the car windows were up and the occupants may not have heard the train approaching.
