David Peters and family, at Ada, for about a week. They were present for the baptism of their infant granddaughter, Lori, on July 28 at the First Lutheran Church in Ada. Lt. (JG) and Mrs. John Nagl and children John and Emily of Vallejo, arrived Saturday to visit in the home of her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. C. J. Rothmeyer, at Dedham, and also with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Albert Nagl and family at Carroll. Lt. Nagl is on a three- 1 mann Coming Thursday to be pres ent for the wedding of Judith Collison and William F. Feld, which takes place Saturday at Arcadia, will be Mr. and Mrs.

Joel Berglund, St. Paul, Minn. Susan Collison and Mrs. Herbert Dezik, Chicago, Mr, and Mrs. Jay Edward Feld, Moline, Mr.

7. Weekly Card Session Held Golden Circle Club members met for their weekly bridge party Tuesday in the clubrooms, with three tables in play. At the first table Mrs. Floyd White Sr. was winner of the high prize and Mrs.

Frank Bellinghausen, second. Mrs. Pete Jensen won high and Mie. A. E.

Odendahl, second, at another table; Mrs. Oliver Deming, high, and Mrs. Clarence Wright, second, at the third table. Four games were played, after which Mrs. Bellinghausen served lunch.

Mrs. Wright will be the hostess next Tuesday. Open 8:30 P.M. Shew Starts At Dusk I Four Families Hold Reunion The annual reunion for members of the Peters, Knute, Jamssen and Gross families, held at Graham Park in Carroll Sunday, was attended by 125 persons. A picnic dinner was served and plans were made for next year's reunion, to be held the first Sunday in August.

Out-of-state relatives were from Quincy, Okabena, Lakefield and Round Lake, Minn. Iowa towns represented were Carroll, Glidden, Lidderdale, Lanesboro, Fort Dodge, Sac City, Iowa Falls, Jefferson, Willey, Dedham, Creston, Manning, Pocahontas, Westside, Boone and Scranton. Committee Will Promote 5 Amendments To promote the five constitutional amendments which will be on the November general election ballots, the Carroll League of Women Voters has formed an "Action Committee." Members of the committee are Mrs. Ronald Schechtman, Mrs. Frank Reibold, Mrs.

Eleanor Zimmerman, Mrs. Alvin Molitor, Mrs. Robert Merritt and Mrs. Virgil Baumhover, all of Carroll, and Mrs. Stephen Garst of Coon Rapids.

Since the origin of the Carroll League in 1960, the local women have studied the constitution of Iowa as a state study item. This subject has been studied by the state League for the last 12 years. As a result of the study, the Iowa League reached a consensus in support of the proposed five amendments, which include annual sessions, fair apportionment, home rule for cities, item veto, new provisions for compensating legislators. Two 'Queens' at STOP Club Two members of the STOP Club shared the title of "queen" at the group's weekly meeting Tuesday night at the Standard Farm Service Center. Of the 31 members the two had lost the most weight during the preceding week four pounds each.

The weigh-in revealed that 17 had lost a total of pounds; nine had gained 11 pounds and five members maintained the same weight. Films were shown concerning your physical fitness. A guest at the meeting from Fort Dodge told of the activities of the TOPS Club there. A feature of the next session, Aug. 7 at the same place, will be a 4-H Club demonstration on non-fat dry milk by Pat and Louise Heithoff, members of the Willey Merry Maids.

Mrs. Hyland and Rosemary Balk were hostesses. Miss Balk will become the bride of Tom Schapman in a noon ceremony at SS. Peter and Paul Church on Saturday, Sept. 7.

After the honoree had opened her gifts the group of eight played bridge. Mrs. John Bruner received the high score prize and Mrs. LsRoy Vial, low. Also attending were Mrs.

Tom Horbach, Mrs. Alan Evenson and Mrs. Steve Collison. Gomez-Roth Vows Spoken OMAHA, Neb. Jo Marie Gomez, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Aniceto Gomez, and Louis John Roth were united in marriage at an 11 a.m. nuotial high mass July 27 in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Omaha. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.

Edwin Roth formerly of Carroll. Attending the bride were Carmelina Breci, Maria Gomez, Marth Roth, Esperansa Breseno and Vernado Venevidis. Michael Roth served his brother as groomsman. Lisa Montelongo was flower girl; Scott Fisher, ring bearer. A buffet dinner and reception, followed by an evening dance, were held at the Polish Home.

The bride's chosen colors, pink, blue and white, were used in decorating the two five- tiered cakes centering the buffet table. Guests were present from Omaha and Papillion, Council Bluffs and Carroll. Mr. Roth is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Omaha, and is presently employed there by the Campbell Soup Company. The couple will make their home in Omaha.

300 Attend UCT Family Picnic Supper Three hundred persons attended a fried chicken picnic supper for members of the Carroll Council, United Commercial Travelers, and their families at the Graham Park shelter bouse Tuesday night. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bridge of Storm Lake. Mr.

Bridge is grand counselor of Iowa and Mrs. Bridge is the grand junior counselor of the Ladies' Auxiliary. A guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Halbig was Mrs.

Ted (Jessie) Kisgen, who has recently moved to Carroll from Ft. Dodge. Mrs. Kisgen is a past grand counselor of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Iowa, having served when Carroll's Auxiliary was active several years ago prior to its re-activation this year. Also present as a guest was-Vernon Erps of Clinton, supreme public relations representative.

The council provided chicken for the potluck affair. The chefs who prepared 150 pounds of chicken were Al Heinrichs, Elmer Juergens, Floyd Decker, Otto J. Bluml and Charles Feld. Others on the committee on arrangements were Clair J. Otto, Bernard Wells and James H.

Cavanaugh. Announcement was made that the "Supreme Counselor" night originally scheduled for Aug. 19 has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 21, because of conflicts. The supreme counselor will make only four visits in Iowa, including the local visit, which will be a stag dinner.

NFO FAMILY PICNIC The Carroll County N.F.O. will hold its annual family potluck dinner on Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Southside Park shelter house in Carroll, starting at 6:30 p.m. A guest speaker is expected to be present and the regular monthly meeting will be held at the a i of N.F.O. members, their families and guests.

Free ice cream will be served. Photo A Ride in the Pool A little girl and a puppy found a way to cool off Tuesday afternoon. Carol, 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Danner, takes Snoopy, 3-months old puppy, for a ride in the cool water of the portable swimming pool in the Duane Hoffman yard.

Snoopy belongs to the Hoffmans. HOME FROM HAWAII ARCADIA Mrs. Archie Miller of Arcadia has returned home after spending a week in Hawaii with her husband, who was on leave from Tan San Nhut Air Base, South Vietnam. S.Sgt. Miller, an accounting specialist, has been stationed in Vietnam since January.

En route to the Islands Mrs. Miller visited in Los Angeles with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Diers and with Airman and Mrs. Craig Enen bach.
