But the defense knew jurors would want someone to pay dearly for an 84-year-old dragged to her death underneath a stolen car especially after they saw the crime scene photos. On Friday, four days until trial, the two sides folded their hands as the last of the three Riviera Beach teens implicated in the purse snatching-turned-murder agreed to a plea deal. Jimmie Lee Williams, who turns 16 Sunday, will be sentenced to no more than 20 years in prison for second-degree murder, and robbery with a deadly weapon, and may even get less if a pre-sentence report recommends a more lenient sentence to the judge at a hearing on March 2. If he had gone to trial and been found guilty of first-degree murder, a judge would have had no option but to sentence him to life in prison.

Williams mother, Linda, stood by her son in court but had no comment. "Given the notoriety of this case I think it would have been very hard to find a fair jury in South Florida," said Williams' defense attorney, Michelle Sus-kauer. "Of course, he's remorseful. Her fluency in French, combined with her creativity and dynamic teaching style, provided an enriching experience for the children in kindergarten through 5th grade.

As charter members of the Clarke County chapter of Rotary Inte. national, Cornelia and Don were active in their community. Participating in the Blue Ridge Players, the local theater group, Cornelia directed and Don starred in numerous plays and musicals. Local audiences will long remember Don and Cornelia starring opposite each other as Nathan Detroit and his long-suffering girlfriend, Adelaide fn the Blue Ridge Players' productions of "Guys Dolls" In 1980. Cornelia recognized the need for youth-oriented activities and subsequently founded the Battletown Drama Group, directing many summer productions in the 1960s.

She shared her love for the theater with her own children, as well as those in the community. Her passion for teaching young people also led her to direct many memorial senior class productions at Clarke County High School, Including "Lilliam," "I Remember Mama" and "The Diary of Anne Frank." In 1982, Don became the founding headmaster of The Country Day School of Jefferson County in Charles Town, West Virginia, and Cornelia served by his side as Development Director of the school. Don retired as headmaster of The Country Day School in 1985. Upon retirement from the academic world, Cornelia opened a home-based business In 1985, gradually converting their historic home on the Shenandoah River into The River House Bed A Breakfast. Cornelia was a founding member of the Bed Breakfast Association of Virginia and was also a well-respected member of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International.

Cornelia warmth, graclousness and remarkable gift of hospitality allowed the business to flourish into a successful year-round operation that lasted 15 years. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2001, Mr. Uerstung was born on April 23, 1924 in East Orange, N.J. to Ann Celestine Gray and Oscar Max Gerstung. Mr. Gerstung served in the U.S.

Navy and was honorably discharged In 1946. He then Joined his father at Sinclair Oil Refining Company. In the 60's he started his own company, CeiSian Oil Company, named for his children, Celestine and Stan. He later worked for the City of Lake Worth, retiring as City Treasurer and Tax Collector In 19H1. He is survived by his precious daughter.
