Net Beta Kerrvllk Mowitaln Swi The annual community barbecue social and meeting was cancelled Sunday night because of rain. It has been rescheduled for this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Board president, Walter Lux says everything else is the same so plan to come this Sunday and make it a success for our directors. Our Lese Verein met Sept. 9th at the home of Mrs.

Helen Barham. Mrs. Selina Saur was the reader and read a chapter "September Day in New England" from Still Meadow Season by Gladys Taber. The next meeting will be with Olga Alterkamp, Oct. Nth at 2:30 p.m.' Our community was hit with heavy rain, strong winds and hail Sunday evening.

This was the original storm that caused the cancellation of our community gathering. Fred Saur recorded an official five inches Sunday evening with lesser amounts throughout the community. A.C. Pfeiffer received 3.80 while four inches were received by Charles Heinen. Walter Lux received five inches, we had 2125 and up the Bear Creek Road received still lesser amounts.

Hard showers again spotted the area Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Sept. 13 several families from here involved in Sunday School Rally Day program at Immanuel; Lutheran Church. Sharon Spenrath, Dorothy Green and I participated in the teachers part of the program, while Dawn and.Tye Green, Janell Reeh, and Mandy and Michael Spenrath were a part of the choirs that enhanced the service. Miss Stace Staglik and Jeffery Rust spent the weekend here and in Waring.

Sunday "evening they returned to college. She is a student at UT in San Antonio and he is a student in San Marcos. This Saturday night is the Jaws Benefit Dance at the Comfort Park. A barbecue supper will begin the evening and the dance will follow. Pur Lese Verein made a donation to the cause earlier and there will surety be many, folks from here also supporting it.

will be held Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin M. Bond officiating.

Interment will be in Garden of Memories. She passed away Wednesday in a local nursing care center. Born Dec. 18. 1899 in Lee County, she had been a resident of Kerrville since 1945 and a prior resident of Houston.

She is survived by her husband, Otis A. Abrahams; a son, William W. "Bill" Abrahams, both of Kerrville; a sister, Mrs. Margie Gillmeister Temple; two brothers and one grandchild. W.

A. McDougall Travis County, he had been a resident of Ingram for the past 24 years. He was a retired contractor and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jewel Pruitt of Ingram; three sons, Willie Joe Pruitt of Amarillo, David Lee Pruitt of Glendale and Rufus Pruitt; four sisters, Dorothy Bowens, Grace Palvodo and Ivy Wishart, all of Austin, and Elsie Lovell of Spicewood and two brothers, Jack Pruitt of Dimmitt and Joe Pruitt of New Mexico and 11 grandchildren.

Robert R. Tait Private funeral services for Robert Tait, 70, of 210 Timber Forest, were held Sept. 17 at Kerrville Funeral Home. He died Wednesday evening in Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital. Born Apr.

6, 1911 in Chicago, he had been a resident of the Kerrville area for four years and was a longtime resident of Harlingen where he was school administrator for the Harlingen Independent School District. McDougall. 68, of Harper were held Sept. 17 in Harper Presbyterian Church with burial in Harper Cemetery under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home. He passed away Wednesday in Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg. Born June 11, 1913 in Harper, he was married to Alta Lee Duderstadt May 20, 1936 in Kerrville.

He was a rancher and had lived in Harper all his life. Survivors include his wife; a son, John Warren McDougall; a brother, Werner McDougall, both of San Antonio and three grandchildren. Arther Pruitt Private services for Arther Pruitt, 85, of Ingram were held Sept. 18 at Kerrville Funeral Home. He died Wednesday evening at his home.
