A son of John and Agnes Vintonick Kalokoskie, he was born July 12, 1895 in Austria. Mr.

Kalokoskie was a retired miner and had been associated with Coal Company for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Cross Byzantine Catholic Church and UMWA Local 6649. both of Clune. Surviving are his widow, Pearl Chelnick Kalokoskie; a son. Frank, Homer City; two daughters: Mrs.

Frank (Alice) Pasternak. Clune: Mrs. Regis (Elizabeth) McFadden. Wellesley Hills. a sister, Catherine Evanick, Las Vegas, four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Everett (Mary) Pennington, Friends are being received from 24 and 7-9 p.m. today at Robinson-Lytle's. Indiana, where parastas services will be held today at 7 p.m. Brief liturgical services will be held at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m.

Wednesday, June 11, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Byzantine Catholic Church, Clune, with the Rev. Fr. Josaphat Popovich the celebrant. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.

BRADLEY JAMES EMERSON, ten month old son of James and Judy Ann Edwards Emerson, of Beyer, died MonJune 9, 1975 at Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 19, 1974 at Indiana. 02 THOMAS WHALEN, 58, of 265 N. 7th Indiana, died Monday, June 9, 1975 at Indiana Hospital. A son of Thomas A. and Bertha Holliday Whalen, he was born July 29. 1916 at Crucible.

Mr. Whalen was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army Air Force. He was most recently associated with the Magas Welding Company. He was a member of Hutchinson United Methodist Church.

Uniontown, and was president of the Grace United Methodist Men. Indiana. He was also a member of the Jamison Sunday School Class. Surviving are his widow, Frances Fisher Whalen: two daughters: Dana Hartford, Mrs. James (Marsha) Tancraiton, Indiana: two brothers: Robert.

Mr. Metro was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Sagamore, and the Greek Catholic Union Lodge 643, Sagamore. He was a retired coal miner and a member of UMWA Local 600. Yatesboro.

He had been a resident of Sagamore for the past 60 years. Surviving are four daughters: Mary Metro, Mrs. Anna Rosenthal, both at home; Mrs. Stanley (Margaret) Honkus, Buffalo. N.Y.; Mrs.

Gerry (Martha) Ondish, Rural Valley; five sons: Mike, Ford City; John, South Hadley Center, Paul, Apollo; George, NuMine; Steve, Sagamore; 22 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren. Service Club Homer Kiwanis HOMER CITY -Kiwanian A.T. Yanity was named Layman of the Year last night by Homer City Kiwanis Club.

The award was presented at the dinner meeting, with Rev. Scott Browning, past It. gov. of the district, making the presentation. Rev.

Browning told the Kiwanians that Yanity had been selected by a committee of three of his peers as an outstanding citizen who has worked in many capacities for the betterment of his community. Also speaking on the accomplishments of Kiwanian Yanity were Doyle Cramer and R. E. Walbeck. Mr.

Yanity is a charter member of the Homer City Kiwanis Club, chartered on June 15, 1951. He has served on Homer City Borough Council, as a member and officer of Homer City Memorial Association Board of Directors and is an active member of Homer City United Methodist Church. Ernest LoPresti was accepted into membership in the club. He was inducted into membership by Kenneth Gray, past It. gov.

It was announced that next week's meeting will be a ladies night program, with the Kiwanis Scholarship to be awarded to a 1975 graduate of Homer-Center High School.
