I 5 JOHN FRANCIS EVANS Mr. Evans, age 69, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on Monday morning, November 2, 1998 after a brief illness. He was bom in Maiden, Massachusetts on August 20, 1929, son of the late James Joseph Evans and Martha McCarron Evans. He had been a resident of the Palm Beaches for the past 30 years, coming from Cape Canaveral, FL. Mr.

Evans was a graduate of Tufts University, Medford, MA, receiving his B.S.E.E. Degree in Electronical Engineering. He was employed with R.C.A. at the Cape Canaveral plant for 13 years. Subsequently, Mr.

Evans was employed by the U.S. Navy A.U.T.E.C.. 1 West Palm Beach for 25 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Evans was a member of the Santa Maria Council 4999, Knights of Columbus, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and was an active communicant of St. Paul of The Cross Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Hospitality "Usher" for many years. Mr.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Brown served in the US Naval Air Corps from 1944-1946. He then attended the University of Virginia, before transferring to New York University, where he played football and baseball. He was graduated in 1952, with a BS in Education. Mr.

Brown enjoyed a sports broadcasting career of over 30 years that included radio and television play-by-play of major and minor league baseball, professional hockey and golf, and college football. After moving to Florida from Rochester, NY in 1981, Mr. Brown worked part-time for several years at WJNO. An avid golfer, he was a member of the West Palm Beach Golf club since 1982. Mr.

Brown Is survived by Anita, his adored wife of 48 years, and a family that loved and cherished him: daughter, Cecl Callahan; son, Jeff; sister, Ann Stern; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael. Jordan and Talia; son-in-law, Paul, daughter-in-law Debbi A brother in-law Marty. Mrs. Winsaner modeled on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach; was a part of the women's auxiliary of the Kiwanis Club; a member of the Pilot Club of the Palm Beaches; and a member of the Palm Beach County Reading Council.

In addition to bping a homemaker, she returned to teaching in 1935 at the Migrant Mexican School in rural West Palm Beach. In 1966, Mrs. Winsauer received her Masters Degree in Reading and Supervision from Florida Atlantic University. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was one of four Reading Consultant Coordinators for the Title 1 Department of Federal Programs for the PublicPrivate Schools in Palm Beach County. Mrs.

Winsauer was preceded in death by her husband. One P. Winsauer who died in 1960, and her grandson Stephen Winsauer who died in 1993. She Is survived by her son, Thomas C. Winsauer (Susan) and two great grandchildren, David and Michael of West Palm Beach; her daughter, Maribeth Slack (Art) and grandson, Andrew of Royal Palm Bch; niece, Geraldine Wegner of Milwaukee, WI.

JOHN A. HANG EN 96, of 502 Willow Valley Lake Drive, Willow Street, formerly of Atlantis, FL died Sunday, November 1, 1998. He was born in Lebanon, July 20, 1902, son of the late Rev. George W. and Minnie (GrabilJ) Hangen.

In 1921, he graduated from the Allentown Preparatory School and graduated from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, in 1925. Graduate work was done at Yale University, Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut, receiving his master's degree there in 1942. He was a science teacher at Penns Grove High School, Penns Grove. NJ, Roxbury Preparatory School In Cheshire, and Farming ton High School, Farmington, after which he obtained an administrative position in the East Hampton, CT school system. In 1945, the decision was made to leave the teaching profession.

At this time, he decided to enter the funeral profession and graduated from Eckel's College of Mortuary Science in Philadelphia, PA In 1947. He served his apprenticeship with his father-in-law, the late George F. Hale of Unionville, CT. Upon his death In 1951, he subsequently became the owner and operator of his own business, the John A. Hangen Funeral Home, which he operated up to the.

time of his retirement in December 1974. He was a 50 year member of the Evening Star Lodge. No. 101 A FA AM of Unionville, CT; the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Hartford, CT; the Consistory, Valley of Norwich, CT; an honorary member of the Farmington Exchange Club, Farmington, CT, having served as President of the same. He also served as a Corporator of Farmington Savings Bank; was a member and former president of the Farmington Board of Education; conducted the United Fund Campaign for two years; director of the Farmington Foundation; director of the Farmington Visiting Nurses Association.

In addition, he served as president of the Greenwood Cemetery Association in Avon, CT from 1946-1976. Mr. Hangen was also a member of the United Church of Christ, Willow Street. PA. He is predeceased by his first and second wife, Doris (Hale) Hangen and Catherine (Keller) Hangen.

He is survived by a daughter, Carol R. Tuma, Harleysville, PA and a son, John H. Hangen of Burlington, CT; one brother, Walter E. Hangen of Lantana, FL two sisters, Ruth Feusner of Sellersville, PA and Mary Bauer of Spring House, PA. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew's.
