Dog Owners Arrested Another warning to dog owners is issued by Chief of Police Joseph Russavage, that a survey of the borough is being made by an agent of the department of animal industry to determine whether all dogs are licensed. William Daileda presided. A special program was prepared. The banquet opened with flag exercises, pledge of allegiance, and recitation of the scout oath. Brief addresses were given by Burgess Skrinak, John Shoemaker, Stephen Gabiskus, scoutmaster of Troop 423, Pittston, Leonard Terlesky, assistant scoutmaster of the local unit, as well as the leaders of the various scout patrols. The members gave a demonstration in first-aid.

The music consisted of individual and group singing, a trumpet solo was given by John Mihalko. Scout manuals were awarded to Paul Shedlock, Andrew Wasil and Steve Wagner for the sale of the largest number of tickets for the minstrel recently presented by the Hose Company. John Verboski and Joseph Rincavage won the cracker eating contest. The program was concluded with the scout benediction and the singing of "God Bless Cubs and scouts of Troop 423, Pittston, were among the guests.
