HERMAN Age 83 of Palm Beach Gardens, passed away Saturday, September 5, 1992. He was born in New Albany, Indiana where he graduated from High School. Following graduation, he played minor league baseball in Vicksburg. Dayton, Ohio, and two years in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1931 he entered major league baseball with the Chicago Cubs, where he played second base for ten years.

He then joined the Brooklyn Dodgers, spent two years In the Navy during WWII, and returned to play in 1946 with the Boston Braves and In 1947 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The next 16 years he spent coaching and managing in the major leagues before retiring in 1975. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 1975. He was also a member of the Indiana Hall of Fame. Chicago Sports Hall of Fame, and the Palm Beach County Hall of Fame.

A resident of Florida since 1956, he had lived in the Palm Beach County area since 1968. He was a member of V.F.W. 19610 of Lake Park, He is survived by his wife, Frances Herman of Palm Beach Gardens; brother, Frank Herman of New Albany, granddaughters, Cneri Daniels of Indianapolis, and Terry Herman of Bloomlngton, and four great granddaughters. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1992, 10 A.M.

KARL JOSEPH BRANDON Born May 5, 1905 in Austria, died August 31, 1992 In Boca Raton. Fla. Mr. Brandon became a naturalized American Citizen Sept. 4.

1941. He attended Columbia University. We mourn the passing of Karl Brandon, one of the kindest A most respected gentlemen. Karl's distinguished life was marked by his association with the Seminole Golf Club, El Club, Colombia.
