Tilbury Terrace Something entirely different in an electrical display can be seen this year at Tilbury Terrace. George F. Jones, manager of the Nanticoke office of the Luzerne County Gas and Electric Corporation, and Elmo Hall, cashier of First National Bank, who is the next door neighbor of Mr. Jonese, have pooled their efforts in a joint display consisting of Santa Claus and five reindeers, which extend 35 feet and supended in midair, between the two houses. It is illuminated by the use of large spot lights.

Directly below this display is a row of Christmas trees, trimmed with 100 blue lights. The entire display cove-rs a total distance of 120 feet and the display on both houses form a perfect balance. Those who have seen the display claim it to be one of the best in the valley and is especially pleasing to the children. Mr. Hall and Mr.

Jones extend an invitation to the public any night between 5 to 10 and to 12 oclock on Christmas and New Year's Eve. Twp. GOP Women En joy Their Annual Christmas Party Newport Township Womens Republican Club held their Yuletide party Thursday night at their rooms. Decorations were in keeping with the season which included a large Christmas tree. Santa Claus presented gifts to about one hundred children.

If the parties opposing -this-bond issue want to penalize the poor taxpayers of the Borough by making the Borough pay its indebtedness in full, it is important that they should know it. i According to William L.

Williams, borough secretary, Duryea is indebted to the Miners Savings- Bank between $50,000 and $60,000 With interest and Attorney Mulhall states that this amount will be collected in full if settlement is not made in accordance with a previous agreement by the bank, and other credit ors to accept a reduction of the outstanding debt. This would be done by asking the court on behalf of the bank to compel the borough council to levy a special millage for the specific purpose of paying with interest, all judgments held by the Dank. The request of John Steele, Pitts-, burgs, representing a bonding house, to extend the time on the sale of bonds was placed in the hands of the finance committee. Church Notes Annual Christmas services, sponsored by the Sunday school of Primitive Methodist Church, will be held Christmas night at 7:30. Two plays will be presented. and Mrs. John M. Semmer, 28 Prince street, observed their 55th wedding anniversary today. The day was spent in a quiet manner. They were married at Ashley, December 23, 1886, by the late Rev.

William J. Day. Mrs. Semmer is the former Miss Ruth Appleton, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
