M. A Cohn, M. Barnes, H.

George and Charles W. Taylor, judges and clerks of election in the Second ward, to state publicly: that I was offered by them every facility for making a close and satisfactory examination of every thing connected with the polling, canvassing and counting of the Second ward vote. From the polling of the first vote to the counting of the last ticket, the ballot box was before me the entire time, and the judges of election arranged the count ing of the votes with special reference to my convenience. I I make this public statement on account of the impression that prevailed in the minds of some of my friends that I was not to be allowed "a fair showing" by the officers of election, end because I con sider it a matter ot special congrattxla lion to be able to sy pUively thaff at least as far as the vote in the Second ward ia concerned, we had a fair election and an aoserf eoHaf.
