ALGONA (IOWA) ADVANCE TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 1959 Janice Jentz married JANICE JENTZ, daughter of Mr and Mrs William Jentz, Fenton, was wed to Keith L. Bare, son of the Charles Bares of Independence, Aug. 2 at the St. John's Lutheran church at Fenton. Full wedding story on page 1.

section 3 of today's Advance. Services at Fenton for MrsWeisbrod Fenton Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Fen ton Methodist church for Mrs Will Weisbrod, long time resi dent of this vicinity. Mrs Weisbrod died Aug. 14. at a Des Moines hospital from cancer of the liver.

She had been ill for several years. The service was at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. with the Rev Harvey Walker officiating. The Thomas Funeral home was in charge and burial was in the family lot at the Fenton cemetery. Anna Wagner Weisbrod was born August 5, 1872, at Sun Prairie, Wis.

December 11. 1889, she was married to William J. Weisbrod; at Burt. They lived on a farm two miles east of Fenton. Her husband died April 4, 1958, at 93 years of age Mrs Weisbrod is survived three daughters, Florence, Moines; Elinor, Mrs Ray Berke Fort Worth, Texas; and Alice Mrs Hugo Denker, Lester.

A son Donald died October 30, 1956. There are five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. in many community affairs, Mrs Weisbrod was a member of the Methodist church at Fenton, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She helped the first 4-H club at Fenton, the Fenton Forwards, in 1926. She served as leader and assistant leader for more than 30 years.

She was a charter member of the Fenton Woman's club organized in 1927. Rock, were Thursday visitors at Frank Mueller's. The Ervin Kassulkes, Michal, De-bra, and Kent, of Tri-Mont, were guests at Ray Stoe- bcr's Wednesday and Thursday. They were enroute home from a vacation. Monday Voigt's were the E.

C. Wies brods and Ray Stoebcrs. The Wilfred Stoebers and guests at Gerald Wayne spent the weekend in Spirit Lake. Marlin and Roger Stienberger, Wayne Stoeber, and Douglas Geilzenaur returned Saturday after a week at the Prairie Gold Scout camp at Okoboji. Judy Eigler returned Wed- Esther Frank.

The Harlan Elmers and Kenneth Johnsons left Friday for a trip to Minneapolis, Wisconsin Dells, and Milwaukee to see some baseball games. Mrs Carl Veer Jr. and children, Rochester, came Wednesday to the parental lloelf Miller's. Mrs Veer came Friday and they returned Sunday. Other guests Friday evening were the Melvin Rickleffs, Paul Winters and Julie, Lakota.

Mrs Duane Widdel and Patty and Mrs Levon Steinberger and Jimmy spent Friday and Saturday in Austin. The Gerhard Hantelmans, Paul and Dennis Stucki returned Saturday after two weeks at Glacier national park, Crator of the Moon in Idaho, and Teton mountains. Mrs Delbert Geitzenauer, Mrs Alice Parker, and Larry were recent visitors at Cecil Parker's, Moville. ST. JOE Mrs.

Sylvester Wagner The annual Sisters shower was held Sunday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hall. In connection with the food shower a "Get acquainted" afternoon was held with St. Joseph's sisters C.D.A. committee.

In charge were Mrs E. M. Gales, Mrs Clarence Bormann, Mrs Clarence Thilges, Mrs Edward Thilges and Mrs Art Kohlhaas. Terry Illg, 5, oldest son of the Francis lllgs. Burl, is a patient in St.

Ann hospital in Algona since Tuesday evening after a painful gash to his left foot when he took a dash in front of a power lawn mower here at the home of his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Art Illg. Art said his father, who lives in Fenton, has not been ieeling so well. The H. F. Kramers, southeast of Lone Rock, are fine folks to visit and have a fine farm and nice chairs to sit in the shade. They keep their buildings in fine shape.

They plan to retire and have bought a house in West Bend. At Merl Johnson's, northeast of Ledyard, they said they had taken Merl's mother to Chicago recently to visit an aunt. They said it was an interesting trip. They have a nice big black and white dog. He has learned how to open the gates on the place.

Mrs Hazel Carrol, southwest of Titonka, was busy cleaning when we called. Her daughter at present is working in the cafe at Titonka. fine boys here. There are two The older boy was at his uncle Chester Albright's. The younger boy was helping his mother.

WESLEY Mrs. Viola Studer The Lon Gouges were guests of Hagie hybrids annual meeting at the Eagle Grove country club Aug. 19. The Gouges were among many dealers and wives for the company in attendance. The meeting began at noon with a luncheon followed by a short plans for the coming year.

This was followed by a movie. The Art Cves, Columbus, spent Aug. 9-12 with his sister, Mrs Mary Seifert. They had a picnic at the Grotto at West Bend. At Mason City they visited Mrs Seifert's daughter, Mrs Isabella -Boud, and her son Theodore Seifert.

They visited another daughter, Mrs Ida Bohn, Garner, and attended Hobo Day. Mrs Boud entered Mercy hospital Wednesday. for medical treatment. Her brother Theodore Seifert entered the same hospital Friday. Father Joe Studer, Sioux City, his parents, the Joseph Stu- ders, Joan Kay, Thomas, and John, left Aug.

14 to visit relatives over the weekend. The Richard Hammonds, Racine, were vis- itolte Wednesday, and the Frank Wellicks, Britt, were there on Wednesday evening. GUEST DAY HELD The North Depew Fellowship Circle met recently at Albert Mitchell's home after rain forced them to leave the city park. This was their annual guest day. Mrs Nyles Heggen led in devotions; Marling Berkland and Patricia Runke each gave a poem; Marilyn Frahson plaj ed an accordion; and Katliy Vorland sang a solo. Sunday guests at DeLond Votleler's home were the Ervin Voltelers, Ernest Vottelers and Mrs Robert Votteler, Kathy and Lisa. Mrs Robert Votteler and daughters are visiting the Ernest Vottelers. Mrs E. K. Johnson entertain ed at a coffee Wednesday Mes dames Warren Jones, Webei Yager, Emma Riemers, Arlo Ranney, Clarence Wegener, an appendicitis operation in the naval hospital at Oakland, California Wednesday.

J. Gales, a St. Joseph's Mercy hospital nurse graduate, Sioux City, following her vacation will be employed at St. Joseph's hospital in Fort Dodge. Mrs Damain Centgrag entertained her 500 club Thursday with Mrs Anton Becker as a guest.

Prizes were awarded to Mrs John B. Reding, Mrs John Thul and Mrs E. J. Gales. Mrs Anton Becker joined the club C.
